The Blood Bound Legacy

The Blood Bound Legacy

When the seal cracked, the sound wasn’t loud. It was deep. Like something shifting beneath the skin of the world. A pop, a grind, a pulse—and then silence. Not the silence of peace. The silence that comes just before a storm, when even the birds know not to speak.

THE ALPHA'S UNWANTED OMEGA MATE

THE ALPHA'S UNWANTED OMEGA MATE

The weight of the invasion felt heavy in my chest, guilt tightening my throat. A loud, thundering sound echoed through the house and I yelped in fear. The sharp noise shattered the fragile calm like glass breaking. Following the thud, there were a few yellings belonging to Xavier. His voice was sharp, demanding, filled with anger. He inched closer and continued to shout, splitting the peaceful silence I was enjoying.

BACK FROM THE DEAD: MY APOCALYPSE LEVEL-UP SYSTEM

BACK FROM THE DEAD: MY APOCALYPSE LEVEL-UP SYSTEM

A low, deep sound started to rumble in the distance. At first, I thought it was just thunder from the storm clouds. The sky outside had turned a dark, bruised gray. But the sound didn't stop, and it didn't fade away. It grew louder and louder, a steady, heavy thumping that made the metal shelves in the warehouse rattle and shake. Thump. Thump. Thump. "LUS," I said, my small laugh dying instantly. My hand went straight to the hilt of my plasma blade. "What is that sound?"

BONE & BITE A Primal Shifter Romance

BONE & BITE A Primal Shifter Romance

Something is here. A low rumble vibrated through the air. It wasn’t thunder. It was too localized, too rhythmic. It came from the shadows ahead, a sound that seemed to vibrate through the soles of my boots and rattle the teeth in my jaw. It was a growl. A deep, chest-rattling sound like thunder trapped in a bottle, waiting to shatter the glass. I froze mid-step, my breath catching in a painful hitch. The rain seemed to slow down, time stretching into an agonizing crawl.

ARCHER'S QUEEN

ARCHER'S QUEEN

“What is it, my lady? Were you attacked? Did you see anyone?” Rain started pouring atop the makeshift shelter; fat, heavy raindrops that sound like tiny stones hitting the ground. A blindingly bright flash of lightning and the heavy rumbling sound of thunder that he had earlier heard followed. Aurora whimpered, visibly paling even more. “Is it the thunder, Aurora? Are you terrified of it?” he asked, understanding dawning upon him. Aurora’s eyes were wide, seemingly unable to hear him. She was shaking from head to toe. The surroundings lit up as another flash of lightning hit the ground, and the sound of Aurora’s scream was drowned by the thunder that followed.

Yearning for Her Return

Yearning for Her Return

She wouldn't be afraid if she closed her eyes before the thunder crashed. There was a deafening sound of thunder. Rebecca trembled. Her eyes were shut tightly. Her forehead broke into a cold sweat. She was also mumbling something. The rain was heavy. The raindrops fell on the trees outside the house and the glass on the balcony. The noise sounded like the footsteps of thousands of people walking. The sounds of thunder accompanied it. There was another crash of thunder. Rebecca was unable to restrain herself anymore and exclaimed. "Rebecca?" Daniel had woken up when he heard her mumbling voice. He thought she was having a nightmare and didn't care about it. He couldn't help but stand up when

Ellen Addawe
I like the depth of this book, the character of the FL wherein she learns a lot in her life experiences, her moving on from the past and enjoying her life in the present. Not the typical love story wherein after all the heartaches, betrayal & rejection, still the FL gives the ML a second chance.
Blessing Sam-somanya
I stopped reading this book the moment Rebecca got married to someone else and Daniel is dying of late stage cancer, after all he suffered in the hands of his evil brother and family, I expected a happy ending for him and Rebecca but the writer chose other wise. He doesn't deserve this tragic ending

Clouded By The Stars: New Moon

That single step carried huge momentum, and the sound of thunder could be vaguely made out. *Step* The Lightning Emperor took another step and moved a little closer to the arena. Once again, the step was as profound as a lecture on the gravity of life given by a philosophy professor. This time the sound of thunder could be made more distinctly. *Step* *Rumble* *Step* *RUmble* *STep* *RUMble* *STep* *RUMBle* *STEp* *RUMBLe* *STEp* *RUMBLE* *STEP*

Claimed By The Lycan King

Claimed By The Lycan King

I woke to thunder. Not the storm kind that rattles windows and splits skies, but the steady, relentless rumble of Theo's heart beneath my cheek. It crashed against my eardrums like waves breaking on rocks, each beat so distinct I could almost taste the copper and salt of his blood pushing through chambers and valves. His chest rose and fell beneath me, the rush of air through his lungs a windstorm in my ears. I'd never heard anything so beautifully invasive in my life.

The Master's Child

The Master's Child

listening. The thundering grows, rattling against my cocked ear, like the whoosh of an oncoming train... I release my hold, this time leaping... and reaching a higher grating. The chain tugs me down, but as the thunder grows louder, closer, I loop my puny rope around and around the bars of the grating, anchoring myself. With a roar that drowns all other sound: the shrieking of the rats, the rattle of metal on stone, the pounding of the pulse behind my ears...
