The Slave Who Owned The Moon

The Slave Who Owned The Moon

Theron A sound like a struck bell woke the council before the runners did. It wasn't the normal clamor of a dawn call or a smith's hammer; it was a low, rolling thunder that came from beneath the earth and left the rafters shivering in its wake. I felt it through my bones before I heard the words—an alarm that said the house was not whole.

152| Is It… Thunder? . JULIE . It does not go away and I keep chanting that in my head when suddenly it leaves my bare skin and I hear a loud thunderous growl. Is it… Thunder? I try to look down but I do not have to put much effort when a shadow comes to hover over me and through my watery eyes, I see his face. A muffled whimper escapes my mouth which is taped but I am way too happy to see him here.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

One step. Fair. Two. Reasonable. Three. God. The light grew weaker. Fair. The cave grew darker. Reasonable honestly. Then suddenly— God. A loud crack echoed outside. Fair. Thunder. Reasonable. Real thunder. God. The girls froze. Fair. Immediately. Reasonable. Then another crack. God. Louder. Fair. Much louder. Reasonable honestly. Then rain began. God. Heavy rain. Fair. Very heavy rain. Reasonable. The sound echoed through the cave.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

“Are you leaving too?” She nodded, starting to follow the smaller one but then a noise erupted through the trees that made my heart stop for a moment. It was yelling, clearly a man’s, clearly an idiot. I rushed to the direction of the sound, stopping dead in my tracks as Small pinned Ethan. O fluff nugget…

Baine Family Love and War: Book 2 Finally My Own Love

Baine Family Love and War: Book 2 Finally My Own Love

The sky above Elder Lee’s hidden estate didn't just break; it hemorrhaged. The first crack of thunder was a jagged, tectonic roar that seemed to split the very foundations of the mountain range. It wasn't the clean, rolling thunder of a natural summer storm; it was a heavy, dissonant boom, a sound of ancient gears grinding together that vibrated through the marrow of Samantha’s bones. Rain began to fall in a sudden, violent sheet. These were not soft drops, but cold, needle-like projectiles that tasted of iron and ancient dust, a caustic downpour that seemed intent on scrubbing the very life from the forest floor.

It was them. He began to move, and the thunder found its rhythm. It was a deep, pounding beat that matched the driving pace of his hips. Each thrust was a peal of thunder, each withdrawal the tense silence before the next. She met him thrust for thrust, her nails digging into the cloud-stuff beneath her, her cries lost in the howling wind and the torrential rain.

The Merman, My Man

The Merman, My Man

He then made the same sort of sound but in a deeper tone, a sound that was more easing to my ears, like a note from a cello. But within the next second, I heard a rumbling thunder signaling the arrival of a storm and felt a wave of dizziness. I wondered if the frequency of this sound surpassed the range of what human ears could withstand. I even suspected that prolonged exposure to sounds like this could damage my hearing and my auditory nerves.

I don't think I was prepared for what I clicked on, but the concept and execution of the the story, white possibly triggering for some, the story actually has great promise! I want to know more about what the old lady said in the dream as well as what happens to Linda.

Nine Months

Nine Months

But I stopped from opening the gate because, in a count of five Mississippi, it would burst loudly. I close my eyes. Put my free hands to cover my ears. ‘…four Mississippi… Five Mississippi…” The thunder rumbles in the distance. Then I control my breathing to calm. I do always remember; fear couldn’t help in any situation. Though I have this unusually sensitive hearing to loud sounds. I opened my eyes in relief. I’m fine. But God, that thunder scares me, though. The rain fell again, and the moon was nowhere to be seen. It was buried underneath the darkness, but I’d still be seeing it some other nights.

The Rejected Omega: There Were Times I Wished You Were Dead

The Rejected Omega: There Were Times I Wished You Were Dead

My heart thundered with the thrill of it. And then— A flash split the sky. Lightning seared across the horizon, blinding for a fraction of a second. A sharp crack of thunder followed, so loud it rattled through my chest and nearly had me leaping out of my skin. Almost instantly, the sun vanished behind a blanket of dark clouds, and the sky opened up. Sheets of rain poured from the heavens, heavy and relentless, drenching my fur in seconds. It was like the Moon Goddess herself was weeping, her grief soaking the earth.

The Entrapped Marriage

The Entrapped Marriage

Jason's heart beat started beating erratically, and all he was feeling was the urge to kiss her. Suddenly there came a frightening blinding light of the lightening followed by the crackling sound of the thunder, and then the electricity tripped off. Heavy storm poured down, with lightening taking no more than five seconds apart. The sound of the storm grew louder, in such a state, he were listening to his heart beat, and that of hers. He could hear everything in that utmost silence, the sound of the rain as it collided with earth, the swift movement of the curtains dancing to wave of the threatening wind. The sound of the clock ticking, and even the flowers outside. It was beautiful, she was
