I just picked up random women to f*ck , not giving them a second glance afterward. No wonder the name of Dark Devil, stuck with me since my university days. Well, the Devil was definitely my cousin, Lucien Sylvester, grandson of Benson Sylvester and the owner of this cruise line. However, my cousins, Dominic and Damien, kept up the family name, too, and together we were The Heartless Devils. Of course, there were ample reasons behind the names. While Lucien and Dominic went through similar shit in life, Damien and I shared similar experiences in the matters of the heart.

Knowing what happened in the big room while the CEO Deny Felixia, Jenny, with a kind and innocent but troublesome attitude, actually managed to make Deny angry. To just not throw a tantrum. Imagine, that woman still insists on what she thinks, which is not wanting to sit next to her boss. Then suddenly he casually even mentioned the work agreement. That then really wanted to make Deny feel like tearing up the file! It's just that what happened was that Deny couldn't help but take a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. But somehow, I always pictured a balding old man with a pot belly caused by the cheap whiskey he drowns himself in every night. But I couldn’t be more wrong. The devil isn’t horned or hideous. He’s tall, sculpted, and terrifyingly beautiful. Power clings to him like a second skin beneath the flawless cut of his suit. His face is sharp, symmetrical and too perfect to belong to someone mortal, too perfect for the blood he spills, too perfect for the cruelty he yields, and his icy blue eyes can bring even the bravest man to his knees. A cold prickling sensation erupts over my entire body like a thousand tiny needles stabbing my skin

I had asked. “Devon has been working for the company since it was founded, Mark, and you know this. Has he ever made any mistakes?” He had asked me. “No, he hasn’t,” I had responded. “So you can see, and there were proofs,” my dad had said. “I am just glad that I have someone like Devon to help me get rid of the roaches in the company. Sydney Bowman would have run my company to the ground,” he had added. I also recalled that after Sydney Bowman got fired, he had tried to put up a venomous fight with Mr. Devon. It was a little messy, but being that Mr. Devon was a lawyer, Sydney stood no chance, and that had left them as sworn enemies.

I was admiring the scenery when all of a sudden, my face blanked. I saw an unpleasant figure in the distance. He was wearing a black suit and spotted a smile on his face. His smile looked lewd and sinister to me. I glared at him with hate. I hated him deep to the bones and always wished that he would just topple down and die. "What? You are not comfortable seeing your lover, hmm?" Devon said. He was wearing a cold smile. Today he was in a clean black suit, a bit loose, but did nothing to hide his masculine charm.

The following morning, Devon stumbles into the office still suffering from the hangover of lasst night. Yesterday he spent greater part of his night getting drunk and moaning about her ex trying to his life with her lover. He has yet to pick his lawyer’s call. He walks in, dressed smartly in his dark blue suit, dark shade over his eyes, and his black briefcase in hand. He nods briefly to everyone who threw a greeting his way without stopping. He wasn’t in the mood to socialize.

He looked to the three demons who were smiling victoriously like they had just succeeded in whatever it is they were planning. “I do not need permission to stop the work of demons. You will release this human at once!” The smile on Suit’s face completely disappeared. There was no frown. Just a plain look, as he stared at the angel before looking at the three who looked to be loving the fact that they had been able to wipe the annoying smile on Suit’s face.

Not close enough to touch—but close enough that I felt his presence everywhere. “You shouldn’t trust me,” he said. My breath hitched. “Not me. Not anyone,” he continued evenly. “Especially not men who make things easy.” I swallowed. “Then why help me at all?” "That's not your place to know. Besides, the devil you know, is always safer than the angel you don’t.” he said calmly. “What does that mean?” I whispered. A slow, dangerous smile tugged at his lips. “It means,” he said, stepping back, “that not all kindness is free.”

I swallowed nervously when he unlocked the doors leading to hell. Spotting three devils standing in the middle of the room was not a difficult task. Their substantial figures gave the impression of a smaller space, they were attired in well-fitted suits that appeared to be tailor-made, and there was a victorious expression on their faces. Killian, with his pale blue eyes, diverted his gaze towards my chest, and a mischievous glint could be seen in them. This caused me to tremble, prompting me to shift my weight onto my opposite leg.

He just stared at me, evaluating me like prey. The silence pulled tight between us, charged and thick. For twenty years, I had been taught that the devil walked the earth as an ugly, deceptive spirit, but looking at him, I realized the church had lied. The devil was beautiful. He was sitting right in front of me, wrapped in a bespoke black suit, exuding an authority that made the massive parlor feel incredibly small.
