That’s how women in the mafia are supposed to be; silent while they accept everything thrown their way. My father thought all the beatings would make Dante stronger.”

"What is it? What do they want? Why is Don Vittorio Ricci so obsessed with ending us?" Don Ramon looked up at him. "Because I married your mother." Vincenzo blinked. "What?" Don Ramon motioned to a servant. "Leave us. Everyone." Lucas stayed by the door. Noel stood close to Vincenzo. Don Ramon sighed. "Forty years ago, Vittorio Ricci was not just my rival.
