His clenched fists finally relaxed, and he turned to the door before walking out. Everything Zach had depended on these past few days had finally collapsed, leaving nothing but ruins behind. Wade watched Zach leave, saying nothing other than hugging the urn even tighter. I looked at my hands. They were starting to fade at the edges. Wade's tears fell on the urn, and I could somehow feel the warmth. I floated to his ear and whispered, "Bury me under that tree by the door, Wade. I'll stay with you. So… Don't be sad anymore, okay?"

"Mr. Wayne, this is the repaired dashcam footage." Wayne took it and pressed play. Arden's broken voice came through the speaker. "Wayne… I've known for a long time that you could walk, but still, congratulations. And thank you for risking your life to save me five years ago. But this marriage you built out of lies, letting me live in fake happiness—it has to end. I don't blame you for deceiving me, but I'll never forgive you either. Goodbye, Wayne…" Her words were cut short by a deafening explosion.

The buzzing of the flies, the hum of the refrigerator units, the traffic—it all died. The brick wall behind them—the dead end—dissolved. In its place stood a rectangle of absolute darkness, seven feet tall. It cut through the reality of the alley like a surgical incision. It was a Door. The frame shimmered with a pulsing, violet light. The center was a swirling vortex of black, but deep within, stars spun in a bottomless void. It hummed with a violent, agitated energy, reacting to the raw emotion in the alley—the fear, the hate, and the crushing weight of the betrayal.

"Yeah, but your stuff is still here. Your mother's belongings are still in the house. You're just going to leave them behind?" My heart tightened. I hadn't expected him to use that against me. He snorted, "Don't make me ask again. I've already sent you the address." When I arrived at the private room at the bar, they had already drunk well past the third round. Outside the door, I overheard someone ask Terence, "Is it really over? Aren't you at all upset?"

Unable to reach Max, I had to go to his office. When I arrived, neither Max nor Coco were there. The receptionist mentioned they were at Disneyland. The manager tried to brief me on company matters, but I waved him off. "I'm just dropping something off." However, I froze in shock when I opened the door to Max's office. The once minimalist black-and-white decor was then splashed with color, the artwork replaced by intimate photos of Max and Coco. The curtains were stained, and there was an unmistakable odor permeating the space.
