Just black tendrils and a voice like cracked glass. “Moon Queen’s Hounds,” it hissed. “Die where she once stood.” Kala moved first. Her eyes flared ruby-red. Her fangs bared. And in the blink of an eye—she was gone. Or rather, blurring, moving faster than air, her form shifting into dozens of afterimages as she carved her way through the first goblin wave. Her sword glowed violet as she spun through them, slicing with eerie grace. Goblins fell in pairs. Heads rolled. Mist exploded in sparks.

Levi said angrily, but he could tell that he was hurt that, once again, he was keeping secrets. “Not my position to tell,” I said, and looked back at Nicolas. “Who is Gabi and how could she prevent those who are hunting us to halt?” Nicolas asked, looking at us both. Taking the lead, I started; “Gabi is the queen of the Supers now Nicolas. The goddess has blessed her and she is now holding the position and attempting to bring us all under one rule. But we are struggling as many do not know about this yet and she is getting push back from a lot of men.” I told him.
