The Golden Compass Movie Novels & Stories

Maybe it’s time to focus on why we’re here. Finding gems. Just a few minutes later I felt people around. Something in my pocket vibrated. I picked up that thing and saw Chrysler’s compass, it was the compass he gave me. "What's that?" Zavan asked, referring to the compass I was holding. It vibrates louder and louder. "Chrysler's compass." My short answer. I saw the frown on the Prince's face, then he suddenly snatched the compass from me. "Wa-wait, that was given to me!" I shout. But I was shocked when he threw me a golden circle.

Kurt asked. "Yes it is but it's also very science too. You see, Ginx magic is powerful and it can be used to track and find other Ginxes and that's how the assassin found you. This device, however, can do the same thing because of a special ingredient that enables the mechanism," He said. "And what ingredient is that?" Joe asked. Micah opened the back of the compass and revealed a tiny piece of bone crackling with energy and it served as the power that kept the compass working.

Something rumbled inside. — Backgammon! Sam yelled, snatching backgammon from her. - These are not cards for you, here you are stuck! "We'll see about that," Kit winked slyly. What she brought for Lou, he flatly refused to show the rest. But it shone twice as intensely. Tom decided that there, most likely, was a naked Kitsune photo shoot. He himself would not refuse such a gift ... But Kit gave him ... a compass. A tiny wooden box, slightly larger than a matchbox, with a brass compass inside.

The thought of my mate coming and being faced with my ex-conquests never sat well with me . Making my way to the dinning hall my Beta drops into step with me . “Haggen i need you to do me a favour . Find out what you can about the gold wolf , she must be a ranked wolf . Her sheer size tells me that but I haven't heard or seen a wolf that colour before ." I say with a frown . I didn't even wait for an answer from him, I just headed to my seat . I know my Beta , I know he will do as I ask without being too intrusive into why .

Then there was the little matter of the trinket she carried… Rain slipped her hand into her frayed leather jacket and pulled out a red rubber ball. A lopsided smirk curved her lips as she peeled it apart at the seams and spilled the contents into her palm. As heavy as gold, the intricately carved metal ball slowly warmed in her palm. Topaz gems winked at her from their settings, inviting her to touch, to wake them from their slumber. Giving in, she held the device next to the bedside lamp, giving it just enough light to operate. With a hum, the device lifted from her palm and hovered, slowly rotating. The gems lit up, began their opening notes.

I wasn't even Alpha yet, but I had all these high stacks of files on my table, waiting for my signature. As my hand surged forward, reluctantly pulling the next file, Then… A shattering sound. I turned. My gaze went to the compass on my desk. It was the compass that came with the tracker from Stiles. It wasn't the regular kind of compass. This was the… should I say spell-casted type of compass? It was glowing gold on the desk. Meaning it had successfully been activated. This was because the tracker had sensed a suspicious movement on the person it's been installed on.

"Mr. Grissle, can I take a look at this painting?" Without waiting for an answer, Aria had already lifted the edge of the artwork. Behind it was a hidden compartment with an old compass inside. The needle was spinning like crazy. It wouldn't stop at all. The room went dead silent. Jubal's face turned white as a sheet, and beads of sweat broke out on his forehead. Anyone who'd watched those spirit-hunting shows knew what a spinning compass meant. There had to be spirits nearby. It was clear why the compass wouldn't stop spinning at all.

“—is not who you say she is. You’re trying to wed her to me under false pretenses. Right Alpha Wylder?” The room was deathly silent. My heart hammered in my chest, and I could feel my father’s anxiousness radiating through the air. Darius stepped toward me, his eyes narrowing. “They say the Golden Luna is wolfless.” A collective gasp rippled through the crowd. My knees trembled, my hands cold as ice. This was it; my deepest shame, laid bare for all to see. “Alpha Darius—” “Silence.” Darius boomed, cutting my father off yet again before he turned to me with a chilling smile.

Everything that came out of his mouth seemed coated in poison—half truth, half deceit—and she had to weigh every syllable before letting it settle in her mind. She lowered her gaze, forcing a quiet laugh as if amused by his teasing. “I’m not that bored. As long as you can find the handle, the rest… I have my own way.” Jim didn’t respond. He turned back, focusing once again on the compass before him. Then, silence fell. The final stage of the ritual brought a suffocating stillness to the air. The compass, now fully drenched in blood, began to glow from within. The copper surface pulsed with a dark red sheen. Its needle spun wildly for a few seconds—then froze.

Chapter 125 – The Golden Star’s Reckoning The golden star blazed in the nexus’s starfield, its light a radiant inferno, no longer soft but fierce, as if the nexus itself were rallying for a final stand. Jessica led her companions along a path of molten gold, its surface searing under their steps, each pulse of light syncing with the hollowness in her chest, a scar now alive with purpose after choosing mortal freedom in the prismatic star’s crucible.
