Romans & histoires The Golden Compass Movie

"Robin has a teammate already. The treasure hunt tonight needs to be paired with a guy and a girl—" The guy wanted to try his shot, but Yanne impatiently interrupted him. "I'm not taking part then!" The guy was frightened by her, so he turned around and left. At that moment, one of the organizers yelled, "Who took the broken compass?" "It's with me!" Yanne replied without a change in expression. She held a perfectly functioning compass in her hand. As for the broken compass… Yanne glanced at her watch that was worth thousands and smiled. "Looking at the time, the effect should happen any time now, right?"

The woman who was the gurdian witch said. Alice stared at Gagé for a while before touching the compass. A bright purple light emit from the compass at once and points toward Alice's necklace in a line, the necklace her father had given her. The necklace too begun to shine as soon as the purple light from the compass touched it. The two lighted from both items connected together strangely in a line. "She's indeed the keeper of the twin swords!' The witch squalled. Alice stared at Gagé strangely. "She means the compass is only connected to you as it's keeper and you are the one charged with the task of seeking the lost twin swords and bringing them both back to their birth place."

asked Ryn. A smile etched the corners of Judith's lips. "To find the witch of the north?" she asked. "It seems so. I wasn't paying attention at the time," Ryn replied. "If you think the compass looks like a usual one, throw that away." Judith's words paused for a moment. She looked Ryn right in the eye. "Because that compass is you." "Me?" Ryn pointed at her chest while looking questioningly at the woman. "Yes, you, Bloodwolf, are the compass itself," Judith explained.

Though he wanted to create even more mayhem, no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t seem to increase the intensity of all the shaking by much. After staring at him for a bit longer, Gerald then shook his head before asking, “Is this what you’re trying to achieve?” With a gentle wave, the compass—that had been in Master Crawford’s grasp—instantly flew into Gerald’s hand! The compass now in his hands, Gerald began murmuring a barely audible chant… Before anyone could realize what was happening, an explosive sound was heard as the compass emitted a blinding light that painted the entire hall in a golden glow! As if all that wasn’t already shocking enough, an inhuman roar was soon heard, and e

It was full of overlapping unearthly figures. I bobbed my head. "Game," I said after I assessed. "The blue one is Isla's. Rhyme designed the gray one. The red and black were painted by Boston. The pink and yellow was owned by Thunder," I guessed. "Yuck!" Thunder immediately reacted. "I'm not that weird to paint such colors! I'm not the cheesy one who will choose your favorite colors..." Thunder was not able to finish what she was about to say when Rhyme faked a cough.

"Well, in front of you, apparently." "Aeson is equally impressed," I assured her. "And equally eager to impress." "Is that why he let me win that game of chase?" Her eyes sparkled with mischief. I laughed, the sound surprising me with its genuineness. When had I last laughed without diplomatic calculation? "He would be mortally offended to hear you suggest he wasn't simply outmatched." We emerged from the tree line, the Golden Compass rising before us like a monument to opulence. Its golden inlays caught moonlight, creating abstract patterns across the white marble facade.

An equally massive black wolf ran behind him, no doubt belonging to the Royal Beta. Yet, as impressive as he was, my eyes became fixed on a pair of golden wolves that came in just behind the King. They were the same size, nearly as massive as the Royal Beta, yet it was clear that one was male and the other female. I knew without knowing how, that they were Ben and Maize. The female one was the most beautiful I’d ever seen, and was accompanied by a slightly smaller Lycan, Price Alec. Maize dipped her head at me, making a laughing sound when she saw my face light up at seeing her, but she made no move to approach, unlike Ben. He left his sister’s side and came over, bowing deep to me.

“You’re the Alpha. What’s our next move? Are we going to chase them or stand here feeling sorry?” The compass weighed heavily in my pocket, its cool metal a reminder of the Council’s twisted game. “I’ve got the compass,” I said, pulling it out, the brass casing warm from my body heat. The needle twitched, then steadied, pointing east down the sun-baked street lined with parked sedans and overflowing mailboxes. “We track them. The crystal’s energy will lead us right to those bastards.” Tamara’s brows lifted, a flicker of surprise crossing her face, but she nodded, crossing her arms over her neon green sports bra, her toned midriff rising and falling with steady breaths.

The fluorescent lights dimmed, then burst one by one, plunging the room into red emergency glow. Harris or whatever he was tilted his head. “It’s time to wake up.” The device in his hand pulsed brighter, sending a ripple through the air. The floor beneath her rippled like water, distorting the world. “No!” Clara screamed. She lunged for the compass keychain on the desk the only solid thing in the flickering chaos. The moment her fingers closed around it, the trembling stopped. The compass needle spun wildly, then frozepointing directly at the door behind him.

It only meant the witches had more advantage over our species. I shook it off my mind, trying not to think about it. At least not today. She reached for the compass she had mentioned and handed it to me. It was gold in colour, resembling an artifact. It was an artefact. “I really don’t know how to thank you enough. You are being so kind to me. Thank you very much.” I was on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by her kindness. “What are friends for?” She smiled before turning around. "Come, let me show you around our world.”
