Is this a book about sexuality? A porn book?" asked Gail happily. This man rolled his eyes, "Seriously, if you are looking for a book like that you can find it at Night Flowers," he said. "Then?" The old man straightened his stiff body then pushed his wheelchair and turned to face Gail. "This is a book about a lost history," he said.

I had work to do. I pulled out the first one. I rubbed off the dust and the name came into view. Hollow Brook. The pack I once thought I’d lead. I always thought my name would go down in this book. And unfortunately, now I was worried it would. Alongside a man who’s name would go down as a villain. The worst one we had seen in hundreds of years. I flipped the book open and skipped over some of the lineage as I already memorized that years ago. Once I saw the first page that talked about the history itself I started reading. And I didn’t stop until I heard a mindlink push through my head hours later.

Draynon nodded and opened the book. He leafed through the book until he found the chapter that he was looking for. “Here we go. Now this was roughly 120 years ago, or four generations. It’s not so much a history book, but written similar to a novel to make the facts easier for the reader to remember, rather than just bombarding them with endless seeming names and numbers.” He coughed once to clear his throat and began reading from the book.
