Locked in denial. Buildings looked like pre-apocalypse. People dressed like old-world. Everything was simulation. Everything was pretense. Everything was lie. I walked into central square. Old woman. Dying woman. Last bridge-human. And I spoke. "The lie ends today," I said. Voice carrying. Power behind words. Truth forcing itself into pretense. "You have lived in denial for fifty years. You have pretended apocalypse never happened. You have frozen yourselves in past that no longer exists. That lie ends. Today. Now. Forever."

Emma laughed bitterly. "I know that." Her voice trembled. "I want the truth." Sophia lowered her head. "I know." "Then tell me." "Tell me why you've been with Liam all these months." Sophia closed her eyes. "It's not what you think." Emma's heart broke. "Then what is it?" Sophia looked up. Her eyes were red from crying. "Liam never cheated on you." Emma stared at her. "What?" "He loves you." Noah frowned. "Then why the lies?"

Then: “I owe you an apology that is probably ten years too late.” The room became completely still. Because after everything… After all the lies… After all the manipulation… After all the pain… The moment everyone thought would never arrive had finally come. No direct answer. Only one final sentence— Soft. But sharp. “Sometimes… the best lie is the one that makes everyone believe it’s the truth.” The call ended. Aurora stood frozen.

“You’re all liars.” My heart broke in a slow, painful way. I had seen him like this before, years ago, a boy with too much anger and nowhere safe to put it. A boy who had been shaped by cruelty and taught that love always came with conditions. “I wish I were lying,” I said softly. My voice felt weak, but I forced myself to keep going. “God knows I do.” He shook his head violently. “Stop talking.” But I didn’t stop. Because this was the moment. The last moment. And if I didn’t speak now, this lie would survive longer than any of us.

I said as I walk to the sala and sat on the chair. I leaned on the chair, sipping my tea calmly. I heard footsteps near me I didn't bother to look who's walking near me. "Hands up," I heard Livv's voice, I smiled mentally as I raise both of my hands in the air. "Livv, good to see you here," I said as I stand up facing him, hands still in the air. "You lied," He said, angry and his eyes were red. "I didn't lie to you I just didn't tell you that's different," I said mocking him, looking at him intently. He pointed my the gun and chuckled.

Just now, when you sent that kid to the hospital, you have no idea how scared I was. I was afraid there'd be another lawyer's letter in front of our door, that I'd never see you again.
