Today was the day I would finally regain my sight. Dr. Thomas walked in. “Don’t be nervous. We are going to take off the gauze now. The light might be a little piercing at first, so don’t rush. Just open your eyes slowly.” I nodded anxiously. A minute later, Dr. Thomas said, “Open them slowly.”

she says petting my head. "Lilith, where are we?" I ask her instead, I still had no idea where I'm, I just woke up here. "In Light&Fire academy, it's a school for dom and submissives," she says but I knew that. "I mean where are we? What country is this?" I ask her, are we still in London? US? Europe? "It's the land of dreams," she answer me with a wink, but I just glared at her. "Lilith, I'm serious, where are we?" I ask her again.

“Probably before the stretch lights. We can do our homework at your house and then I can go home.” “Sounds like a plan best friend.”

“When I’ve your arms around me. I know if you’re with me, nothing can trouble me.” “I love you Dara!” “I love you too Wade.” she got him out of hold and asked, “You know what they say, only a vampire can love you forever.” “Lucky you.” Wade chuckled. “Wade I’ve heard and seen in movies too that vampires burn in day light but when I see you, you’re okay in the light, how?”

Paul nervously chuckled, releasing my hands. "Let me capture your photos now." Paul suggested, making his way across the room. "You seem to have captured everyone's liking, wife." Justin approached me and I stared at him. Then, Mr. Paul spoke up, "Camera lights are ready for action, sir." Justin gestured for me to proceed, but I shook my head;I wasn't quite ready yet. He furrowed his brows, I quietly looked away. "Don't tell me you're camera-shy." I heard Justin scoff.

It hurt so badly that I broke out in cold sweat and pulled myself into a fetal position, shivering hard under my blankets. I thought of getting something to drink and got up, carelessly making my way downstairs to the kitchen. The lights in the living room weren't turned on. However, I caught sight of a dark figure sitting on the couch in the darkness. It was Leonard. He sat on the couch without moving a muscle. He was holding a cigarette between his fingers, the faint glow flickering in the dark. I didn't dare to make a sound and thought of retreating as quietly as possible. "Since you're already up, you might as well come over."

The shield closed, and we were left to wait outside. An hour passed. Then two. In the third hour, the circle began to flicker with an unnatural light, a color that didn't belong in a proper healing ritual. Martha gripped my arm nervously. "That light… something's wrong." Elder Thomas's face grew grim. "She's using the wrong herbal combination. If this continues, it will—" His words were cut off by a guttural, animalistic scream. The sound was completely inhuman, filled with pain, despair, and… an unspeakable horror.

The next day, Nadir woke up in the early morning. The sun was breaking through the slits in the louvers, filling the entire living room with its rays. - I don't think I'll ever get used to it.- she said to herself, rubbing eyes lightly with her hand.

They come armoured against dread. The light surprises them. Quiet. Unhurried. Moving in slow beautiful waves along surfaces that are not quite walls and not quite air. Not the light of any sun or flame or manufactured source. Something older than all of those. Something that has been here since before light had a name. At the center of it, in the place where the light is most concentrated and most still, there is a book.

“You’re a lucky one. Someone will make very good use of that fire one day.” Pelin shot upright, heat rushing to her face. “W-what does that even mean?” Pareia only winked, her hips swaying lazily as she turned away, swagging with deliberate irritation. “You will figure it out, I’m sure” she said light hearted.I cleared my throat and smiled as I gave Pelin a subtle side glance, “Ehmn, Light. The answer is light. A candle flies without wings. It cries and melts without having eyes. And wherever a candle goes, it brings light and eliminates the darkness.”
