Second Light

Second Light

Eric believed her without a doubt, and the next second, he took out a lighter and tossed it onto my pile of stuff. The flames roared to life in an instant. "Yvonne has a point, if you're going to leave, then leave everything behind!" As the fire devoured each item, my heart crumbled into pieces. 'Eric, our decade of love is now just ashes,' I thought. I climbed into the car by myself, gazing at the house I had called home for so many years as it slowly disappeared from view. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed a number. "Mr. Lloyd, I'd like to work for your company."

Our Luna

Our Luna

And since this mutt was a hybrid, the moonlight would be at its peak during the full moon—the strongest possible time to strip her of her abilities. The wolves had made feeble attempts to attack Laura’s witches as some of them regained consciousness, but their efforts were weak and ultimately futile. At our camp, everything was ready to conduct the sacrifice. We had gathered in the clearing, where Lory was staked to the ground, shackled beside her parents. Each of them was encircled by rings of salt, binding their powers within them while my witches remained focused in groups to suppress them. Torches surrounded the clearing, casting a golden glow over the scene.

SOLD TO THE WEREWOLF KING

SOLD TO THE WEREWOLF KING

Kaelen was tiring. The lighthouse appeared like a ghost from a forgotten age. It stood atop a sheer, jagged sea stack a hundred yards from the cliff face, connected to the mainland by a narrow, crumbling causeway that was submerged under crashing, frothing waves. In the stormy dusk, its peeling white paint and dark lantern room looked like a bone thrust up from the deep. No light shone from it. It was the perfect prison. Isolated, treacherous, exposed. We couldn’t drive across. The causeway was a row of slick, uneven stones barely visible beneath the surging water. One misstep would mean being dashed against the rocks.

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

"It preserves witnesses." Those words settled over everyone. "The people who reach the End don't become immortal." "They become memory." She looked toward the glowing windows. "They remember what everyone else forgets." Luke slowly understood. The Lighthouse wasn't a prison. It wasn't heaven. It wasn't punishment. It was an archive. An impossible place that carried the stories of universes after they ended. The older Lily looked toward the black sea. "I watched civilizations disappear." "I watched galaxies become dust." "I watched children grow old."

The Alpha’s Genius Dud

The Alpha’s Genius Dud

You basically lit a signal fire in the middle of the ocean. Faith looked at the sisters below, who were finally laughing and eating. She couldn't let this place be destroyed. “We can't fight three warships in the open,” Faith said. “The sisters are too weak, and the Remnants aren't warriors.” “Then we hide,” the old man said. The lighthouse has a ‘Ghost Mode.’ It can sink the entire island beneath the waves. But it requires a massive amount of energy to maintain the oxygen seal.” “I’ll do it,” Faith said.

The Lonely Lights of Winter

The Lonely Lights of Winter

On the day I was diagnosed with stage four cancer, Vivian Cross handed me a contract for a divorce reality show. I already knew that meant she'd lost another bet to her secretary, Miles Smith. They'd made ninety-nine bets over the years, and every time, Vivian let herself lose on purpose. She lost the house we decorated for our wedding. She lost the wedding itself. She even lost our son's body, handing him over so Miles could satisfy his twisted curiosity about the human body. Our baby had been seven months along when they donated his remains. He'd been so small. Vivian slid the contract across to me, tapping the papers. "Ethan, I lost another bet. It's just a reality show. Help me keep M

THE WEIGHT OF GOLD

THE WEIGHT OF GOLD

And in the center of it all—poised on the highest ledge of granite, high above the rocks, the foam, and the deep—stood the lighthouse. It was more than stone, iron, and glass now. It was the memory of those who had labored in the dark, the sanctuary of those who had sought the shore, and the eternal promise that no matter how long or fierce the night might be, the dawn would always find the light still burning upon the ledge.

Light & Darkness: Book 2

Light & Darkness: Book 2

She wanted her to feel to the last moments of her life, just as she did when was on the surface with Miguel. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Maria and Juan arrived at Miguel's home where the ritual was to take place. They prepared everything they needed and sat down in a circle. Following the instructions in the book, Maria drew an inverted pentagram on the floor with chalk and in the center she wrote the names of the Lords of the Underworld: Samael and Lilith. In the very center of the pentagram she placed Lilith's amulet and a black feather as a symbol of Samael. Then Mary lit three black candles and passed one to each of those present, and lit incense from her candle. Then she began reciting a Latin fo

Lily
A bit confusing at the beginning but this is a very nice story. Read every chapter till the end and it’s a good ending. But I’m a bit curious what happen to marco and hera after they heard the news that kianna died in car accident.

A good story. The switches between past, present and her two lifetimes were a bit confusing but in general I enjoyed the narrative and the development of the mystery of her death and the birth of her new love! Well done author!

The Heir of the Light

The Heir of the Light

I rambled on. “You have the same auras but yours is brighter. Every ruler of the Underworld has to be an heir of the Light.” I understood nothing from what Mismaia told me. I know it’s probably a serious matter but I just can’t wrap my head around it. I was just cooking mini donuts and waffles like a second ago. I get minimum wage and she’s telling me I’m practically like royalty. “I wanna believe you. This is just not normal for me.” She held my hand. I swiped it away. “I’m sorry.”
