"It’s going to be a long ride." *****

Kade asked suddenly, not looking up from his drawing. "I've been racing since I was sixteen," Ryker said, and his voice came out rougher than he intended. "Do you?" "I love it," Kade said, finally looking up with eyes that were identical to Ryker's wolf. "Mom won't let me ride yet but I know all the riders' names and their times and everything." Something twisted in Ryker's chest because this was his son, talking about motorcycles with the same passion Ryker had at that age. "Your mom's smart to keep you safe," he said. "Bikes are dangerous."

Anna and I were both going, but we had an unspoken agreement not to travel together. I left early, driving straight to the high-speed rail station. The weather on the way there was beautiful. The rail station was on the outskirts and required me to pass through a rather deserted stretch of road. My driving speed slowed as dawn began to break. However, I was caught in an accident as I rounded a corner. I heard a loud crash as my car jolted sideways. I quickly realized that I had been rear-ended. I struggled to steer the wheel, but my car still collided with a pole.

I couldn't wait to see his face turn white with sheer terror. “In that case, this way.” I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the spinning cup. It was one of the scariest rides, with a circle that rose to 300 feet and let the riders dangle in their chairs from a cord and spun them around. We were just in time to see the cup rise slowly with the first set of riders. Our heads followed the cup till it reached so high in the sky. It felt like time had paused before the drop started, and soon, all the riders were dangling in their seats. Nathan’s lips turned down at the corner and his expression became hard and unimpressed.

We finish the funnel cake and make our way over to the ride and after a few moments, we slide into one of the cars. It’s fully dark now and the whole ride is lit up with turquoise, purple, and pink lights. I sit next to him and drape my legs over his knees, not wanting to alert the guy controlling the ride that I plan to climb into his lap.

I asked, now as invested in the fun as he was, if not more. “That is my girl.” He chuckled but I ignored his comment about calling me his girl. The next ride was called the Rotor. Which was more exhilarating than the rollercoaster. We were strapped into seats, facing out to watch the world around us sway and move up and down as we swung from side to side, spun in circles, and slid up a beam before plummeting back down to the base. The ride was only three minutes, but it was the best three minutes that I have ever experienced.

Cash popped in the DVD. “Let’s have a look-see.” The rides were painful to watch. Not because of the reminder of physical pain, but because it looked as if Chase McKay had never ridden a bull. After they watched all the short test rides, Cash inserted the disk with Chase’s winning rides, or at least the rides he’d managed to hang on for the full eight seconds.

On seeing them Kris stretched out his hands for Atid to hold, who took it smiling whilst stretching his other hand for Preed. Soon all the six boys were holding each others hands. The ride started and everyone laughed and screamed. It went for about 15 minutes. Aroon turned his face and looked at Dae, once the ride ended. " Did you enjoy it?", he asked. " yes..", Dae nodded with a smile. They were still holding their hands.

She was all grins. From there we hopped from one ride to another. I had never screamed so hard in my life. Sam and I took turns in the longest and high risk rides. At one point Hendrix took Blue. Sam and I hopped on together, hands held tight. It was the craziest ride they had. It stopped at the highest point, us flipped upside down, before dropping so fast. I thought I would vomit my very organs. I screamed so hard, laughing at the same time. The adrenaline pump just kept coming, heart beating from my throat.
