Darkness has a strong impact on her. Whenever there's darkness, she feels like suddenly something has been taken away from her, she felt as if she's in some kind of void and that feeling always terrified her. It makes her want to shout and just run to but she could not get her body to comply to her command. Her body sat still frozen there. Tears welled up in her eyes and in a few seconds, they started flowing down her cheeks but still no sound came out of her mouth.

They said the most wonderful, awful things. Awhile after going into that lake, I had to break it--I couldn't stand it anymore. It hurts me now." She whispered, her voice rushed, and her fingers cracking as they twitched. "Don't you see it now, Rachel? There aren't any limits here, on anything. Not even on what one person can become.
