The Daughter at the Door

The Daughter at the Door

Before my mother died, she arranged a marriage for me. My bride-to-be was Rosalind Young, Kingsford's most formidable financial tycoon. Before I married her, I added three clauses to the prenuptial agreement. First, no feelings. Our marriage was purely business. Second, she could live her life however she pleased, while I'd live mine. Third, I would step aside immediately if her true love ever came along. Nevertheless, I would be getting double the alimony. Rosalind was quite pleased that I knew my place. Our marriage was a peaceful one until the day a teenage girl who bore a striking resemblance to her knocked on the door of our mansion and calmly said, "Sir, I'm Rosalind's daughter.

He Called Me a Child Trafficker

He Called Me a Child Trafficker

His missing daughter had the exact same crescent‑shaped birthmark on her right thigh. A detail even her mother had never noticed. Vincent flipped to the next page with shaking hands. The location where the child had been abandoned after trafficking was the exact same place where his daughter had disappeared five years earlier. Thud. Vincent collapsed to his knees. He grabbed his hair and let out a heart‑wrenching wail, like a soul tearing apart. “Emily… my Emily… The orphan you sponsored was our daughter we lost five years ago. How did I not recognize her?”

Yes, you will be lost! And she burst into tears again, trembled... “What are you talking about,” the daughter said awkwardly, “they teach us here. I won't get lost. Mom... how is it... Miruta? My Lost Daughter Came Home to Destroy Me

My Lost Daughter Came Home to Destroy Me

“Just let me see Mother once. The second I meet her, I’ll leave. I swear I’ll never appear in front of you again. Please, Valentina. I only want to see my mother.” I looked down at her, my emotions twisting into something heavy and complicated. Last month, trouble broke out in the family’s West Coast territory, and I had gone there personally to deal with it. I only returned before dawn this morning. On the flight home, I had spent hours wondering what I should say when I finally met the daughter I had lost for so many years. I never expected our first meeting to become this, with me being framed by my own child. “You should stand up first.” I bent down instinctively to help her. “Lea, actua

Mark Of Fury

Mark Of Fury

A small smile appeared on my lips as I disconnected the mind link and Missy handed me a drink. "That was some impressive acting skills and you almost made me cry and after this I'm sure that Freya Allan and her mate will come rushing here." She wrapped her arms around my neck. "Is she really your daughter?" She asked curiously and I shook my head negatively. "No. I lost my daughter a long time ago thanks to Lain's father and nothing in the world will ever bring her back." It was the only way I could protect Freya Allan and Rogue.

The Vampire King Reclaiming His Lost Princess

The Vampire King Reclaiming His Lost Princess

His eyes widened as he took in the scene of his daughter being dragged into a mirror by a Lost Soul (A creature that was already dead. “Daddy help!” Esmeray cried out, her left leg had already disappeared into the mirror. Without a second thought, he jumped towards his daughter. Circling his arms around his daughter’s waist he pulled her out of the mirror, pulling the Lost Soul out too in the process. While shaking the Lost Soul’s grip on her ankle Esmeray lost her balance and fell on the floor. When she scrambled to her feet again her father pushed her behind him. His muscles taunted as he took a protective stance in front of her.

Hunted Luna Becomes The Godbrothers Possession

Hunted Luna Becomes The Godbrothers Possession

“Look like who?” “My long-lost daughter,” she replies simply. I freeze. “You… you had a daughter?” “Yes.” She nods once. Her expression changes, soft but distant. “She was the best thing that ever happened to me. But I was careless, and I lost her.” Her voice breaks slightly before she straightens again. “And your daughter looks like me?” I ask quietly. “Very much. Too much resemblance. Except for one thing—you don’t have the birthmark she had on her neck.”

Continuing my review, It's been almost 50 years and I was a minor at the time. I've read this book 3 times now and it still triggered me but the ending is what keeps me reading. Healing takes a lifetime but it doesn't stop a survivor to live a happy life, millions don't make it out alive.

I got to chapter 82, feeling a familiarity the entire time I was reading the book. Finally saw this was the same author who penned "Goodbye My Love". Now I understand why I felt emotionally abused the entire time I was reading lmao. This author's works are NOT for the weak lol. But now I'm locked in

This Ain't A Fairy Tale

This Ain't A Fairy Tale

I take a deep breath before we start to step down the stairs. “Everyone we would like to introduce to all of you, our long-lost daughter, Zarianne Andrea Marlile Villaflor. The precious treasure no one could ever replace to us with thousands of gold. The little baby we lost 20 years ago is now a stunning young lady that is so amazing in her own ways.” I heard my father said as we descend into the stairs and I heard chatters, clapping, and flashes of cameras everywhere.

The Alpha’s Quest

The Alpha’s Quest

"lost something, have you?" I sighed, my wolf form shifting instinctively, trying to hide the unease that pulsed beneath my fur. "My daughter. Leila. She's gone." I couldn't bring myself to tell her about Amelia. The shame of my daughter's disappearance, coupled with the frustration of not finding either of them, felt like a heavy weight pressing down on my chest. The tavern owner nodded, her gaze never leaving mine. "A terrible thing," she said, her voice filled with quiet empathy. "but there are worse things than losing a daughter, you know," she said, trying to convince me.
