Lost Child of Hide and Seek

Lost Child of Hide and Seek

" Due to this incident, the kindergarten was closed as an emergency measure. There was no one around now. The usually noisy kindergarten was eerily silent today. I had a bad feeling about this. "Let's split up and search for them!" Officer Jenkins said. However, that was also when the lights in the kindergarten turned off. Only one light was left turned on. A rose-red hugging bear was standing under the light. Its eyes were red as it spoke in an electronic voice. "I've hidden your children somewhere. You can save them if you find them in 30 minutes. Any longer than that and you can prepare to collect their corpses."

Vampire's Call

Vampire's Call

"You already know the powers I have and have seen the firsthand. You know I'm not lying." "As a matter of fact, no, I'm not…tell us then. Where is the madellion?" I hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before revealing the information. "It's hidden in a secret chamber beneath the old ruins, guarded by powerful enchantments. You'll need this key." I handed Leo a small, ornate key that I had taken from my father's study earlier that day. It was a replica to an original that opened the book to my dad's suitcase. Thank goodness it looked fancy and cryptic.

Robin's Hidden Mate

Robin's Hidden Mate

Sigh. As soon as Isabella left, I felt delighted seeing a lot of old books. They smell musty, but it doesn't quell my thirst for knowledge. I quickly grabbed the book in front of me and tried opening it. However, I realized I had no key to open the chained books. What the eff? Isabella didn't hand me the keys! How should I supposed to read all these books? "Are you kidding me?!!!" I frowned and stared at the books intently. I realized the books were sealed with a magic circle. Does this mean I have to break the seal to read these books?

MY ALPHA BIKER MATE

MY ALPHA BIKER MATE

I reach instinctively for the necklace around my neck again. It is still there. Still fastened. Relief comes too quickly. Then I unfasten it, wanting to check the key just one more time. Hands suddenly unsteady, I open the hidden compartment. It clicks. The tiny chamber opens, but the place where the key is supposed to be staying is empty. The molded space for it is staring at me, empty. The key is gone. It is the one object someone has entered the room to steal. Whoever has taken it possesses impossible skill. Or impossible access.

THE LOST TIDE KING

THE LOST TIDE KING

My name had been written in Grandmother’s careful script. Bring the false king to the cellar. The floor beneath Raiken cracked. A dark line raced across the kitchen and stopped at the locked door beneath the stairs. The iron key rose from my pocket. It turned toward him like a compass needle. Scene 53: Hidden Chamber The cellar door had no keyhole. I held the iron key against the wood anyway. It melted into the surface. A lock appeared beneath my hand. Metal clicked inside the walls. The cottage shuddered. Dust fell from the ceiling.

The Mafia Lycan's Obsession

Unbeknownst to me, a pair of red eyes watched from the shadows, their malevolent gaze fixated on the girl who held the key to a hidden truth. Author’s POV: Unaware of the pair of red eyes watching her through the bushes, Storm made her way back to the house, her footsteps heavy with a mix of exhaustion and uncertainty. She couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that danger lurked nearby, that the dream and the cryptic messages were more than mere figments of her imagination. Entering the house, Storm found herself drawn once again to the magic book. Alpha fated to a witch

I decided to make some space on the shelf. As I rearranged the books into a more fitting order, I spaced out of reality. I was jolted back into consciousness when I felt an object that wasn’t a book on the shelf. It was a key. A golden key that wasn’t like anything I had ever seen before. But there were no other doors here. And this one didn’t have a lock. Just an old bolt. What exactly was this key for? The

He had never imagined he would read as many memories like this, not to mention that there were still about hundreds of shelves with thousands of balls in them, yet he hadn’t had an inkling clue what this key looked like. More often than not, two balls contained the same memory, and Luis realized at once that some balls were a bluff to protect those that were of importance. The problem was, exactly why he hadn’t found it yet, he didn’t know what he’s looking for. It’s like trying to spot the grain with a different shape to the sea of grains. Unless he’s given an idea of what to look for, he wouldn’t have a chance. Yawning, the Mistress tapped her temple. “Look, Luis, use your head! The key is

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

THE LAST LETTER

THE LAST LETTER

"At this point, everything is a trap." Carefully, Liam pulled the book from the shelf. Nothing happened. He opened it. Inside... The pages had been cut away. Hidden in the center was a small brass key. Emma gasped. "Another key." Liam picked it up. Unlike the silver key they had found earlier, this one was engraved with a single word. Truth. Before either of them could examine it further... The lights suddenly went out. Complete darkness swallowed the room. Emma instinctively moved closer to Liam.

The Betrayed Luna's Second Chance

The Betrayed Luna's Second Chance

Ruby The loss of the precious book struck a devastating blow on me, as it held the key to the healing knowledge I desperately needed, and now it was gone, leaving me feeling confused and lost. The thought of failing the challenge given to me by Madam Nelly pressed down on me, and this wasn't even about failing the already impossible task—the book was an invaluable guide owned by my grandmother for almost a thousand years. It was also passed down to her by her own grandmother, but now it is gone.
