One night with Mr. Lancaster

One night with Mr. Lancaster

“Did you drug me?” “W-what? No! I just came. You opened the door for me…could you…” Ava tried to wriggle her way to freedom. The man’s proximity was enough to give her a panic attack. “Please…” The man chuckled and then gasped for more air, “I can’t. I need to be inside you…” “S-sir…I…” “Shh…I can’t control this anymore…I need…” His voice was laced with struggle and it was a mystery for Ava.

My Stepbrother, My Mate

My Stepbrother, My Mate

Henry*** The world shatters around me, a cacophony of destruction that echoes through my bones. Everything I’ve ever known is crumbling, slipping through my fingers like sand, and the storm inside me rages with an intensity I can’t control. I am its eye, the center of this chaos, and yet I am powerless to stop it. The darkness surrounds me, pulls at my insides, and all I can do is endure its cold, suffocating grip. The man I was… I can barely remember him. Only fragments remain, scattered like broken glass, and the creature I’ve become is all that’s left.

I Live For Myself

I Live For Myself

He was flustered and apologized immediately. Sandra cried endlessly, and passersby on the sidewalk cast strange looks at them. The man did not know what to do, so he squatted down to comfort her. "I didn't see you. I'm so sorry for splashing water on you. I'll compensate you in any way you want, just please stop crying." Sandra looked up and asked, "Do you have a spare room in your home?"

Why Me?

Why Me?

I solved that step and he again taught me another step. Just when I started doing again, he kept is hands on my thighs. I stopped writing and grabbed his hand. I was scared but I could not let him do that. He was moving his hands on my shoulder and another hand was on my thigh. He threatened me, "You know that you are back in marks. I am the one who sends the internal marks. So, why don't you obey what I tell you to do?” I was scared because I knew what he meant. I was uncomfortable by his touch. I rattle off, "I will work hard. Mr. Gayle, I just remembered I have to go fast home today. I will do this in home. I will practice a lot in home and study hard."

THE BEAST IN ME

THE BEAST IN ME

The man laughed softly then dropped his hand. "I have been dying to embrace you so damn much, not just in my dreams but also in real life. You don't look my way nor talk to me and that hurts me a lot. The only time you talk back or smile at me is when you are in my dream. In here you are the exact partner that I need and adore, but in reality, you are cold and always angry at me for looking at you in such a way." He said seriously then groaned loudly and grabbed the young man's shoulders roughly. "So what if I'm attracted to men!, That's who I am, and me desiring you shouldn't be such a bad thing because you are mine. You are my lover and you belong to me." He spat furiously.

I am very impressed by this book. I love the pure fact this is an entirely different race of supernaturals from the norm. Also, love the fact the characters from this pack are still somewhat primal and that there is so much raw emotion. I can't wait for more chapters, it is definite worth the read

The Man He Used To be

The Man He Used To be

Another one roared. "Can someone call security?" The others suggested. "Don't worry, ladies. I'll handle this." They all looked satisfied when a man walked towards Marionne. He looked like in his mid-40s, yet still, look formidable and elegant. "I know you, Marionne, right?" Marianne felt like he was showered with ice-cold water. The man in front of him was the father of Ava. "Uhm—yes—yes, sir." He struggled to answer.

I Met Myself

I Met Myself

"I am Taylen Nova, underboss of Cosa Nostra. Actually, the future Padrino of Cosa Nostra. Tell the Stidda I don't find their joke funny." Everyone in the room claimed to be Taylen Nova. Was I still myself? Perhaps I had become someone else? "Please describe what I look like." I frantically asked. "Kind of ordinary, your fade hairstyle suits your face. You have black skin but it's not dark. You have brown eyes..." The man started. "What does this have to do with anything?" The woman interrupted. "Okay, so I still look how I'm supposed to," I said relieved. "What, what do I look like?" The man inquired worried.

Man of My Heart

Man of My Heart

"Sometimes in life you are lucky enough to meet the one right person, the one you know you were meant for and will love together. I've been fortunate enough to meet that person and this song is for him. I call it Man of my Heart." She played the opening chords and then launched into it. "In my darkest hour you came to me Lending me your strength You held me up and protected me from harm. When worries plagued me and troubles followed I found safety in your arms. You could have been the man of my heart. When life came rushing fast at me You held me safe in the dark You gave me all you had and then gave me more. In the darkness of night Your love surrounded me And sheltered me at its core.

The Wolf In Me

The Wolf In Me

"Please, do not tell anyone. It must have been the haze. Don't you feel it? It felt stronger than usual this time and I couldn't hold myself any longer. He made me feel uncontrollable somehow. I think he is more than just a stranger to me coming to think of it. There is definitely a connection. I could feel my wolf howling inside my chest like it urged for him." That was definitely Mei, but whom was she talking to? Also, what the hell is she? I couldn't forget last night's images. Fangs, shadows, and, blue eyes glowing at me, no, but then the second time they looked Red. Yes. I remember that. I was not going crazy. All of this is real. I looked at myself and was naked. Naked in the dark with

This story is so well written.I love the dynamic between Luka and Mei,especially how they gave their wolves matching names.Your writing is clear and concise.Your strength lies in your descriptive prose. The way you managed to convey Luka's first shift into a wolf is just beautiful.Awesome job!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

The main character in 'Being a Man' is often debated because the book itself is more of a philosophical exploration than a traditional narrative. Some argue the protagonist is the author himself, Paul Theroux, as he reflects on masculinity and societal expectations. Others see it as a collective protagonist—men grappling with identity in a changing world. Theroux's writing feels deeply personal, like he's wrestling with these ideas right alongside the reader. The lack of a clear-cut 'hero' makes it resonate differently; it's not about one person's journey but a shared human experience.

What I love about this approach is how it invites readers to project themselves into the text. It’s less 'Here’s a character to follow' and more 'Here’s a mirror—what do you see?' That ambiguity stuck with me long after finishing the last page. Makes you wonder if the real main character isn’t the reader all along.
