This Was A Man Novels & Stories

He had a plastered leg, which must have been why he had gone missing for days. But he wasn't giving up on me, as he was willing to get close in broad daylight, instead of just missing me. With that in mind, I smiled and nodded. "Of course, I have plenty of time. I didn't know you were such a kind man, Mr. Lopez." Hearing my praise, Zac's pale cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "I just can't help it. Poor creature…"

Why the hell did his friend always have to be right? Serving coffee as she was getting used to since that old and sweet woman made the decision to help her, Adamaris smiled at every new client that was visiting the cafeteria. Suddenly, she saw a man in a black suit who hadn’t ordered yet. It was strange, Adamaris had passed by that table several times and hadn’t seen that man there. The man was wearing sunglasses and in his hands he had a magazine about women’s underwear. He looked like a businessman. “Good morning, sir, are you ready to order?”

There are lots of beds with people on it and I realized I'm the only one awake. I looked at my left and I was shocked to see a man sitting right beside me. He's putting on a white overall just like doctors and I guess he's one. He's in his early sixties and he has a file in his hand. There's a tray with used equipment on it with stains of blood. "Welcome back son" the man said but I only shot him an angry look. He brought out a radio and said something into, almost immediately, armed men came in with a man putting on a black Tuxedo with a pair of black shining shoes. His face was expressionless and judging from his appearance, he's a very rich man.

In a few seconds, the door flung open, a red-faced man in beast mode charging in fiercely. Oh. I'd nearly entirely forgotten we were in the midst of a degrading scandal.

These guys were shitty human beings. Laughing man groaned in pain as he ripped his mask off. He rolled to his back, his hand wrapped around his upper thigh. I held back a smile when I realized that I'd nearly hit his gonads. He was in his late twenties with a buzz cut. Not bad looking, but he was the ugliest person in the world. All of them were. "You shot me." Laughing man shot daggers at me. "Really? Was that me? Whoops. My fingers must've gotten lost because I meant to do this." I flipped him off.

Hence they left me. While I was performing ECG to a senior citizen,I received a text. My phone buzzed. "You can just check it out. I am not gonna complain about it." The old man chuckled and I smiled. This man is going to be my next best friend. Precisely, second best friend. His name is Mani. I know it's weird. He is an Asian and I liked him for being one of my mood boosters lately.

This is a man, with a slight smile on his face, assessing me silently, listening to my ridiculous baffling. He is not just a man though. He's an Alpha. The Alpha.

"Welcome, scum," said a man in shorts and a blue polo shirt. The man wore a black hat with the letters HTH on it. A whistle hung around his neck. There was a scar that started from the back of his head and down his spine. He had a clipboard in one hand and a pencil in the other.

What was he? When Draven was done, he started walking to me without minding the last man standing. “You forgot one thing, Draven,” the man said. Draven paused and turned. “I'm a Red wolf.“ Immediately he said that, he disappeared into thin air. The rest of my sanity left me as I stared at the place where the man had stood just a second ago. Draven didn't seem fazed. The man had sounded so serious when he said his last words. Why did he leave after that?
