Damien POV I groan as I stirred from my sleep. A felt a silky cotton covering my skin makes me frown. I don't fucking own silk sheet? I opened my eyes slowly and observed my surroundings. When I glance at my side. Yes! No wonder I am in silky sheet cause I am not in my room, not in my damn own bed. I quickly untangled myself to the blondie girl whose sprawling naked underneath those sheets. And I don't have to guess what we both did last night since it's my kind of habit, waking in someone bed. Reason? I don't like other people in my room not my bed.

I squinted my eyes as I suddenly felt different kind of emotions consume me, despite the fact that I hated that I always had to be at the receiving end,i mean people always saw me at as the bad person and a gold digger. But I could not help but feel bad and overwhelmed at the feeling that he had used me as just a pawn in his game of chess,while I was there loving him unconditionally. I could not stop the feeling of pain that continually pricked me in my heart, also remembering that Reena had knew about it all along,but did nothing and just watched me get hurt. Was there even anyone that genuinely loved me in this world? Was there anyone that gave two shots about what I had been feeling?

The smell of freshly brewed coffee hit my nose, and my eyes scanned the room, searching for the person I had been avoiding for the past few weeks. I grabbed my bag and left immediately, like the room was on fire and I needed to escape. I walked fast, heading toward the library. I had just started to relax when it hit me. I forgot my textbook. I stopped walking. “Damn it,” I whispered. I stood there for a few seconds, arguing with myself. I didn’t want to go back. I really didn’t. But I needed that book. So I turned around. When I opened the door to the room again, the first thing I saw was Ryder. Fresh from the shower.

I could not seem to move again, it was like my feet were firmly planted into the ground. “What did you say?” I asked him in a small voice because at that moment I felt really small. I felt invisible “I said I hate you. You did not hear me? I hate you, Clara. I hate everything about you, right from your face and your body, and even your name disgusts me. You are such a spoilt, arrogant girl that nobody loves; even your parents don't love you. Even your fated mate hates you. Who is that hated in this world? You ruin everything you touch, every place you enter, you destroy, everyone you know, you ruin”

I asked. “Yes,” he replied. There was no pity in his voice, no sorry. Just the hard truth. I looked away at the dirty floor, the shadows. “ I hate them,” I said. “Lucien, Mealis, the elders, the pack, I hate all of them” I shouted, my voice vibrating throughout the room. “Good” I looked back at him. “Hate keeps you alive, when everything is gone, you need to use it” he said. The heat in my chest moved again, like it agreed to what he said, like It wanted out.

“L-let me go.” He smirked down at me, eyes piercing into mine like he could read my thoughts. “The reason you hate me is not because of the things you mention, Chloe. The reason you hate me is because… you want me. So fucking bad. Do you think I don't see the raw lust and desire in your eyes, which you always try to hide whenever you glare at me?
