“Come in, then. But be quiet.” So she went in. The library felt less like an oasis of knowledge and culture and more like the setting for a low-budget horror flick. The reading room was dim, the air thick with the musty smell. A streak of light spilled from a distant doorway, whispering, “The murderous cult meeting is this way, please.” Linda pushed open the door and stepped into a larger room illuminated by a single orange-shaded lamp hanging low over a round oak table. The place was crawling with people dressed head-to-toe in black, all looking like extras from a Goth fashion show.

At first, she did not find it strange when her mother-in-law ordered her to do a special ritual as a condition for entering the Mangunwongso family. One by one terrible and strange things often happen. Especially when Karina is alone. She also felt strange about her husband's behavior forbidding Karina to enter the meat storage warehouse behind their house. This made Karina even more suspicious and curious, so she tried to reveal the truth in the warehouse. OPENING : Hi, Guys! How are you today? Hope you are doing okay. So, this is my fourth horor book. I apologize that this book is really short with less than 30k words in all. I plan to edit it at some point and make it better. I figured that a really long Horror book might be less interesting and would just seem drawn out. I've not read a lot of them but I watch horror movies so I wrote this like I would picture an Horror movie. I appreciate all those who stuck with me and read Reincarnation regardless. Thank you all. After saying this, I would love and appreciate your feedbacks and things to watch out for when I do edit the book. It would be really helpful and appreciated. Bonus scene ideas too would be great. Lance was on his knees, licking our Head Nun down there. As if he sensed my presence, he looked directly into my eyes. A sickening expression crossed his face as he pulled his lips away from the Head Nun. "It seems it's been too long, Head Nun. Everything looked normal. Then I heard it. A soft scratching, directly above me. I looked up. I shouldn't have looked up. The ceiling was full of faces. Dozens of them. Pressed against the plaster from the other side, flattened like flowers in a book. They were all smiling. They were all watching me. And in the center, where the ceiling met the wall, was a dark opening. Something was crawling out of it. Something with too many fingers. Something with eyes that had no whites.

What used to be solid metal walls had now opened up to reveal three ancient black doors. Each door had a row of heart-shaped locks, the number varying from one to four. Mine had four locks. The student girl, Susie, had one. The fitness coach, Finn, had two. I already had a bad feeling about what this meant. Each door bore the player’s name and their Terror Index. Mine read: Nina – Terror: 0 The girl’s: Susie – Terror: 99.9 The coach’s: Finn– Terror: 90 They both turned to stare at me, shocked and confused, as if wondering how on earth I had kept my terror level at zero.

She instinctively closed the book; her chest rose in short ragged breaths. Nueva quickly tied the string back around the cover and placed the book neatly back in the waiting slot.

The walls smelled faintly of lemon disinfectant and old paper, a clinical coldness that settled in her bones. Empty computer stations stretched out before her, and only one girl sat hunched in the corner, too buried in books to care. Nuri exhaled shakily and reached into her bag for the notecard Moira had given her—temporary login credentials. She typed slowly, deliberately, like her fingers might betray her if she moved too quickly.

After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

“What happens to the books at the other apartment?” “Thorne will make sure they go back to the library.” She looked up. “Library? They have those books at the library?” “No.” Noah stubbed out the cigarette and came back inside. He pulled out his phone and sat opposite her. “The Horde has a library.” “Of course, they do.” Serenity’s gaze shifted back to the book, and she started to read again, silence falling between her and the demon opposite. She wasn’t running anymore, and she smiled at the idea. There was still so much she had to learn if she wanted to stay safe and while she should have probably been an absolute mess mentally, with the ideas of demons and angels—something felt right.
