My Perfect Abrupt Marriage
“Ridiculous? Daniel’s mother came to the restaurant and she was making a scene. Do you think you can live with that kind of mother-in-law?”
I lowered my eyes, walked past him and answered, “It’s not like I’ll be married for so long, Luke.”
“And that is what I am talking about,” he pointed at me, raising his voice, “Do you want to end up like Father?”
I bit my lower lip, “Shut up, you and your girlfriend didn’t end up together, too.”
His face flushed but before he burst into anger, I left him alone. However, from the next street, I could see a familiar car waiting for me. The driver came out, bowed at me and then opened the door. I cannot understand the set-up of this marriage.
