Loathing Logan

Everytime she reminisces on that kiss, the butterflies in her stomach still run wild. The crowd cheers, and though the opposing team is good, they're not as good as Lakeview High. Their quarterback launches the ball, but the eagerness to win the game gets the best of Logan as he runs and intercepts the ball and runs at full speed. The crowd goes wild, screaming in joy and hoping for the best.

They looked so surprised and happy. After that the much awaited Ball King and Ball Queen awards were announced. Rhett, one of Gavin's basketball friends was the Ball King. For some reason, I prayed Gabriel won’t become the ball Queen. And to my relief, she didn’t. Ball Queen was Catherine Miller, a junior girl who always win first prize in every dance competitions. The Award function ended by 11 : 30 and the auditorium was given to mass dance. Gavin and Grace joined us in the back with their trophy and Michael immediately got it from Grace's hands and started inspecting it. Grace was laughing like crazy saying she never expected such an award.

I really hope something happens to these bullies and they get a taste of their own medicine. I hope that they get kicked out of school. Somebody needs to kick their ass. I hope Michael gets a freaking backbone and stand up for himself and Ethan is a piece of shit. This book makes me so angry.

Struggles And Obsessions

Struggles And Obsessions

Sparta had the ball on the 27 yard line when its offensive unit took the field. "There's Steve!" yelled Kate. "He's number 12. He must be the quarterback! He looks hot even with a football helmet on." Paula glanced over at Gwen to see her reaction. Gwen had her pocketbook straps twisted in knots. She was staring intently at the playing field as she tortured her purse. Paula smiled to herself and returned her attention to the game. It was pretty plain that Gwen had not been exactly truthful about her feelings for the young man that had asked her to the dance. As that thought crossed her mind, a roar went up from Sparta's section.

CALAVERA: The Mafia’s Caged Bride

CALAVERA: The Mafia’s Caged Bride

Family members sharing embarrassing childhood stories that make him sound human. He's not human. He's a devil in a tuxedo. Finally, the speeches end. The band leader stands. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Don and Donna Navarro to the floor for their first dance!" Applause. This is it. César stands, offering his hand. "Ready, mi vida?" I look at him. At this man who thinks he's won. "Yes," I say. I stand. I slip my hand into the hidden pocket of my dress. My fingers close around the vial. We walk to the center of the ballroom. The crowd forms a circle around us, watching, always watching.

My Quarterback Alpha

My Quarterback Alpha

But it wasn’t enough. Goldcliff had the numbers because it was their home game. “The cheerleaders are doing their stunts now before the players come in,” Maya said, nodding toward the field. I followed her gaze, watching as the teams performed, flipping and lifting, the crowd reacting loudly to every move. “…are you following the recent talk of the town?” My attention snapped toward the commentators’ booth. “Aparently Kai Blackthorn, quarterback of the Ravens, actually found his mate,” one of them said.

The Feast of the Luna

The Feast of the Luna

"I think I’m finally starting to like being in both worlds at once." As the rehearsal wound down and the pups were rounded up by a disgruntled Silas, Elara leaned against the balcony rail, looking out at the frost-covered peaks. The Winter Ball was no longer a terrifying hurdle. It was an invitation. "Fenris?" "Yes, my Luna?" "If I do happen to knock over the punch bowl... will you still dance with me?" Fenris stepped up behind her, wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her head. "Elara, if you knock over the punch bowl, I’ll knock over the tables. We’ll make it part of the choreography."

Half Past Destiny. The Dragon Savior.

Half Past Destiny. The Dragon Savior.

The ballroom had so many candles to light the room, and flowers were on each table. The Queen smiled as she watched Jenna marvel at the room, “Tomorrow night, we are having a ball. Do they have balls in your timeline?” Jenna shook her head, “ No..more like just dancing but no balls. Nothing like this could ever compare.” The Queen smiled, “Would you like to come?” She asked, already knowing the answer. Jenna looked at the ground, “I’m not sure. I have never even really danced.” She admitted. The Queen smiled as she motioned Yale to help Jenna learn. He smiled at her as he showed her where to place her hands. “Dancing is quite easy. Just follow me.” He said, taking control.

The Rising Temperature between Me and My “Step-brother”

The Rising Temperature between Me and My “Step-brother”

Fanny Wen trailed behind Sam, afraid of being knocked over by the towering, burly men around them. Even though Wendy had mentioned that Asher was the quarterback, she had forgotten to explain what a quarterback was. Fanny Wen thought the term literally meant he was the fourth player in some sequence, and that he'd only play after three others. After the two found their seats and Sam patiently and thoroughly explained the basic rules of football to Fanny Wen, she gained a new perspective on Asher. "So he's that remarkable?" Fanny Wen asked. "But is he a womanizer? I don't have anything against Americans in general, but I'm worried they might be fickle in relationships."
