Of course, I trusted him. “But, I'm scared, Alpha Connor,” I uttered making the Alpha furrow his brows at me. “Scared of what?” He asked, and I let out a deep sigh before replying to him. “I am scared that your people won't like me as your mate. The fact still won't change that I am just a runaway rogue, and I am scared that they will bully me.” I explained to him, but Alpha Connor just pressed my hand, which is telling me that everything will be fine.

If I stopped at this point, we both would probably end up losing our minds. When the spell was finally done, the breath that I had been holding escaped my lips as a strong gust. I was so drained that I sat there like a corpse; still, unmoving. I didn’t even have the energy to take my hand off his forehead. “Valence! Let me go!” Nivaan shouted as he sat up with a gasp. “I need to go and meet Emilia. She is about to give…..” His voice trailed as his gaze landed on me. “Who are you?” His eyes widened, “Are you here to stop me from meeting my mate?”

“Get out of my sight!” I ran past him. My breathing was unstable, only to be held by this stranger. I turned to look at him, and he slowly pulled the sunglasses off to reveal the purest bluest eyes ever. My heart stopped for a while. “I’m Kai, and you are my mate.” He announced.

Lucas’s voice boomed through the evening air. “Run. Run as fast as you can.” My paws pounded against the ground as I weaved in and out of the trees. I didn’t bother hiding my scent leaving the smell of my arousal for my mate to follow. The thundering of paws drew closer as I pushed deeper into the forest. A ferocious howl shook the world around me just before my mate pounced, pinning me to the ground. “Shift.” He ordered, his own naked form sprawled atop me.

About seven weeks ago, she ran into my territory where we learned we are mates, and a week ago, Sam kidnapped her, knowing full well she was mated to me. He forced himself on her, nearly killing my mate.” Tate continues as gasps of horror fill the air. I see wolves pulling their mate to their sides protectively as their eyes turn to me. I make sure my mate mark is displayed fully for all to see and nod to reaffirm Tate’s words. I could see the crowd warming up to my mate and gently reach out to squeeze Tate’s hand.
