The Servant Novel Novels & Stories

The morning was busy in the pack house. Servants moved everywhere, carrying food, cleaning the halls, and preparing for the elders’ visit. The new servant, the spy, worked quietly among them. He carried water, swept the floor, and bowed to everyone he met. On the outside, he looked like a humble, weak man. But inside, his eyes were sharp, and his ears were always listening. --- When Mira passed by, she saw him bending under the heavy load of firewood.

Then, I said with a calm gaze, "Grandpa, Vivian was the one who broke off this engagement first. "She cheated on me with another man and even signed a master-servant contract with him. I've always conducted myself with integrity, and our family would never allow a woman like her to marry in."

Upon closer inspection, the servant's hands appeared to be trembling. "Are you okay?" Arren asked in her soft voice. She understood the suppressed feelings of the servants who were used to being belittled. Arren used to be a barmaid. "Y–yes, Miss...." The servant replied, trembling. His breath seemed contrasting with the atmosphere. Why did he seem scared? "Well, now... let's chat." Venn broke the awkwardness. She didn't want her plan to fall apart. "Please," Arren smiled kindly.

He quickly went and opened the door of his room from inside, too. A servant was standing at the door with a tray in his hands. His face was covered with face mask and he appeared taller than him. In Worris Mansion, there was no servent that was taller than Derek, so he was taken aback if he was a new servent. He was so hungry that he didn't paid attention to it and asked the servent to keep the tray on his table. The servent did as was told. Suddenly, a thought crossed Derek's evil mind.

"Have you heard anyone who was named Lucian Von Rellis, though?" The servant stiffened and horror spread all over her face. She knew. But I think it doesn't sound good. "Who is he?" I probed. I felt the urge to get to her and shake her shoulders until she would tell me everything she knew. The poor servant's lips trembled and shook her head with conviction before she uttered 'I'm sorry' and turned to leave. I was left on the bed with the blood of chalice, dumbfounded and with head full of questions.

“Don't play coy with me, and don't act as if I'm some stupid teenage girl. she is not going to fix this and you don't get to get out of this so easily. answer my questions…’’ “ YES THE F*** I WAS!’’ He shouted, startling me. “ I was listening in on that conversation.’’ “ Why?’’ “ Because when I saw the Servant walk, I was also planning on having a conversation with the Alpha. and I figured that since she was a servant she was probably going to take the dishes and then head back out. but half and our passed and she was still in there.’’

He kissed my left palm while watching me with a smirk. I thought about his words momentarily. "No, I don't." I shook my head. "Servants aren't meant to have good lives. They are meant to serve their betters; if need be, they will be thrown away and replaced." I said firmly, "We are just some small cogs in the greater workings of a clock." That is going to be my reality. Someday, I'll be tossed out once I serve my purpose. I always wonder if that day is swiftly approaching.

Aesthelia was puzzled as to why the old Aesthelia and Custos hadn't signed a contract with each other when they had already met. 'Just what on earth is happening?' Aesthelia mentally asked herself. If she was troubled before, it's even harder now. "I was just picking some flowers near the borderline when I saw them. I ran as fast as I could," the servant said, as if it was the most terrifying moment of his life. Aesthelia finally recalled the servant. It is the gardener's son. "There's so much blood," the servant mumbled, but loud enough for Aesthelia to hear.

The servant knelt in the center, hands bound behind his back, his eyes wide as Darius stepped into the ring of torchlight. No one spoke. Darius crouched in front of the man, studying him with a predator’s calm. “You’ve been paid to kill. Who was it?” “I—I don’t know!” the servant stammered, trembling. “A bag of silver left at my door—nothing more, I swear!” Darius tilted his head. “Silver doesn’t instruct you to hide a poisoned dagger under a tray. Someone taught you. Who?” The servant shook his head frantically. “Please, I don’t—”

Then, the man unexpectedly woke up! The servant was once an infamous bandit in his younger years, and he learned many occult skills. For example, he would freeze his blood vessels and shrink his heart into a ball at the most crucial time. That was one of the life-saving secrets that he mastered. Nevertheless, Caspian's grasp was too strong, and the servant's heart almost shattered. Hence, despite being awake now, he knew that he would not last long. "I must leave some messages." The servant gritted his teeth and dipped his finger into the blood. Next, he started to drag his finger over the ground.
