she said, and looked down. “And it made me so much happier knowing that I killed him,” I said, and she looked up at me. “How could you ever want to touch me, looking like that?” she asked. “Is that why you’ve been fighting this the whole time? Because you have scars?” I asked her, but she didn’t answer me. She was self-conscious, but what she didn’t realize was, her scars made her strong. I didn’t think of her as weak or as a victim. I saw her strength in surviving it, and that, to me, was beautiful. Her scars made her beautiful in my eyes.

The 18 Billion Wife He Abandoned

The 18 Billion Wife He Abandoned

"I should be protecting you. Instead you're taking care of me." "That's what partners do. They take turns being strong." She moved to sit beside me on the bed. "You were strong when I fell apart at the Grammy ceremony. When Darren manipulated me. When I thought I had no choice but to go back. Now it's my turn to be strong while you heal." "What if I'm never as strong as I was?" "Then you'll be strong in different ways. The scar doesn't make you weak, Kai. It makes you human."

The Pack's Doctor

The Pack's Doctor

“I know my body is scarred and ugly…” “No, it’s not,” she says, her fingers beginning to trace the scars across my chest, arms, and stomach. “It’s a testament to how strong you are, what an incredible fighter you are. You must think I’m weak. I barely have any scars on my body, and none from battle,” she says, looking up at me.

Rise of the Alpha's King Rejected Mate

Rise of the Alpha's King Rejected Mate

She looked over her battered pack, at the pups clinging to their mothers, at the warriors dragging themselves upright despite their wounds. No. She would not break. “Listen to me,” she called, her voice ringing through the camp. Every eye turned to her, desperate, weary, waiting. “He thinks we’re weak. He thinks fear will tear us apart. But he doesn’t know us. We are wolves of fire and iron. We may be scarred, but scars don’t break us—they make us stronger.” The words caught, then spread, a murmur rising among her wolves, their eyes brightening, their spines straightening. Even the wounded lifted their heads.

he observed gently. Scarlett looked up, her eyes meeting his, and for the first time in weeks, she let herself be vulnerable. “I… I keep thinking about everything,” she admitted. “About what we’ve done, what we’ve survived… and what we might still lose.” Sebastian knelt beside her, taking her hands in his. “Scarlett, listen to me. Every scar we carry, every sleepless night, it’s proof of how strong we are. We’ve faced what no one else could endure, and yet we’re still standing… together.”

Scarred by fate

Scarred by fate

I choke out the last word, feeling the sting of fresh tears threatening to spill over again. Luna Allison surprises me with how quickly she snaps into action. Her grip tightens as she turns me to face her, her voice stern and unyielding. “No, you are not! I never want to hear you say that again, Zahra Larkin.” Her eyes bore into mine, full of fierce love and strength. “You are beautiful—inside and out. You’re the kindest, funniest, cleverest, and bravest girl I know. Those scars on your back? They show how strong you are. They don’t define you, and they sure as hell won’t limit you. They tell the world that you’re a survivor, Zahra.” Her words hit me hard, and for a moment, I’m just stunned

He was looking for new injuries and prayed none existed. "No," she smiled, her phoenix fire wrapping around him lovingly. "They forgot something important about scars." "What's that?" The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

The Lycan King’s Treasured Luna

"You're so beautiful, Narine. So strong. And so damn brave." "Don't be ashamed of your scars," he murmured against my skin, " They tell your story, every battle you fought, every night you didn't think you'd survive but did anyway. They speak of endurance, of a fire that refused to go out, even when the world tried to smother it. They're proof you've bled, you've broken, and still you stand here, unyielding... mine, and beautiful." Before I could shake my head or laugh it off, he turned me gently in his hands, the steam curling between us, making the air thick and intimate. His eyes traced every inch of me like he was mapping constellations.

Sargis and Narine just became one of my favourite couples! I love Sargis' love and devotion, and Narine's wisdom and quiet strength. I wish her adoptive parents were punished as well, but oh well ... (7/29/26)

I loved this book and it's characters. I love how there was no unnecessary drama that slowed the pace and didn't make sense like in other stories. And I loved the way that we got to see some of the same scenes from both perspectives. I'd love to read a sequel.

The Scars Of My Past

The Scars Of My Past

I guess that’s why I have my scar, a reminder of the fact that I’ll never be as strong as I need to be. As strong as I want to be. Maybe I deserve the scar…. I-i know I deserve my scar it’s all my fault. I… I need to search the body. I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand, collected the supplies and got to my feet, stumbling backwards as my backpack settled on my shoulders.

Different Breed of Witch: A Saraid Maddox Novel

Different Breed of Witch: A Saraid Maddox Novel

“The color suits you Maddie, it looks gorgeous on you.” The color did flatter her, but I had to fight back a gulp because the short length of the shorts exposed the scars from her previous years of abuse. “My scars show. That’s why I usually wear things that cover them. People look at me as if I have a disease.” I crossed the room to her and placed my hands on her shoulders. “That life is over. Your scars are going to be your reminder that you are so much stronger than you think. One day you will wear these scars proudly, knowing that they are simply battle wounds from a war that you won.”
