The Tempest Play 소설 & 이야기

Not once did he even spare her a glance. *********** The dons gathered in the velvet-draped chamber of a secluded estate, its walls lined with oil paintings of long-dead nobles who seemed to watch the proceedings in silence. A mahogany table dominated the room, polished to a mirror sparkle, and around it sat men who controlled entire empires of blood and money. Giovanni Terranova held court at the head of the table, his sharp American features carved into a mask of command. His red suit was immaculate, his cane resting against his chair though he hardly needed it, it was more a symbol of the authority he put forth than of age.

His vibrant purple eyes burn with electricity yet look as hollow and vacant as the eyes of the very eyti he creates. “You want to blame me for the chaos of this world…Then I’ll give you chaos,” he curses, his voice as cold as the expression on his face. “What are you–” My words are cut short, when – with his eyes trained on me – Azadou raises his hand in the direction of the bridge. As he slowly clenches his fist, the air is filled with the distant sounds of protesting metal. My eyes blow wide in horror and I feel the blood drain from my face as with a single motion of his hand, Azadou brings the entire bridge and all those on it, crashing into the sea.

Slowly, I stood up and looked down at him, “What did you just say? Repeat it, I think I missed it the first time.” “There’ll be no use if we fight now!” Celeste exclaimed and I could see the anger crossing her eyes. “If Stormi is not a lycan, Ezekiel can still have another child to pass down his throne!” “Mom…” I heard Marisse say while looking at Celeste, completely in shock. “I thought you like Stormi?”

Each of them had a wicked smirk on their faces, as I stared at them confused; who the hell did they get that could be so terrifying, then it hit me, “You don’t mean…” My voice catches in my throat as I think of the most powerful mafia don in the entire city, “Samuel Henderson.” They all say his name. The man is the most terrifying man in Alador City. Between the Leviathan's and the Zane’s, he and his sons are the most ruthless, powerful, and loaded mafia family in the city, probably the whole damn world. “So, what do you say, Lily?” Anthony said, still holding the box, “Want to take over the world with us?” I smile at them and nod. Anthony slid the ring on my finger and the four of them engu

Daniel's POV "Is something wrong, sir?" I turned to Enriquez. Onstage, naked women danced while many people, especially men, watched. Enriquez is Javier’s temporary replacement. Even though I was staring at the dancer, we ordered a bucket of beer. I don't know, but I see Russell dancing naked in front of me on stage. I closed my eyes for a while to give my eyes a break, then I opened them again and drank a beer. When I picked up the phone, my wife didn't have any plans to contact me. I don't know what is going on at home right now, so I immediately called my mother-in-law to ask. Also, Russell doesn't reply to my messages. I can't call her because he might hear the noise here and cause a mis

Once a certain book was picked out, it was to be taken off the list and if you were the last one to pick you would end up with whatever was left in the bowl. Of course, I had my favorites and I was praying quite hard so as not to end up with something that was difficult to read or understand. Thankfully, I got Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and was pretty excited to start working on the report. Les, on the other hand, ended up with The Tempest by William Shakespeare and was silently cursing under her breath. I had no qualms with Shakespeare but Les, in sharp contrast, looked like she was about to collapse on the floor. I guess, like most people, she was intimidated by Shakespeare's po

It had always been one of her dreams to meet with people and socialize with them, just like she always did back in Hugh's school, before he got married to the Alpha, and had to restrict her social life and act like a Luna; Like royalty. It had reached an hour, and the party seemed to be going all well, when Tessa was about to change into her night dress and go to bed, suddenly, she heard a crash-like something had fallen, and then another, much louder than the first, followed by the shattering sound of glasses and a bark. From the mate connection, she could sense a series of disrupting acts, a fight, which could only mean that her husband had started his plan to kill Bryce. Tessa tried her b

"You are way, way sexier than she is, Antonette." "Then prove it, James. Prove it to me. Show and make me feel that I am desirable. Prove it to me with your body, James," Antonette said seductively, increasing James's heat. Until James completely lost control and forgot that Antonette was inebriated and that he shouldn't take advantage of her. He is only focused on possessing her. So James claimed Antonette's lips once more while one of his hands caressed one of her arms, causing Antonette to moan slightly. Antonette closed her eyes and let the torrent of sensations wash over her. James caressed her shoulder with such gentleness. It's as if she were a fragile glass that would shatter if he t

"Captain, I need a warrant. Fast. Victoria Holt. Theo Holt. Sarah, last name pending. Extortion, blackmail, wire fraud, and conspiracy to defame. We're crashing a gala tonight." The pieces were moving. All converging on one glittering ballroom. Where smiles would hide knives. And one family's truth would either save them or destroy them forever.

Did Ariadne and the Prince get into a fight? She thought and shook her head as she shrugged it off. She kept thinking again but all her thoughts were filled with Lucino. She kept wondering if he really cheated with Isabella. He said he didn't do it but she saw it. It looked too real to be a lie. After thinking for a while, Aurora slowly drifted to dreamland. ~ It was the day of the Luna festival and the castle was busier than usual. Different important guests from different kingdoms were arriving. The maids were moving everywhere trying to be at everyone’s service.
