Bonded with my ex

Bonded with my ex

He had to think fast. "Retrieval ", he said with a cough. The man looked at him from head to toe, then opened the door that was behind them for him. He pocketed the black card and passed the door. His mouth almost fell. The underground was almost as twice as big as Club Go itself. There were all sorts of people, all in their demon forms. Demon Essence was brimming all over the place. The place wasn't bright, there were only a few lights in the ceiling.

A BRIDE FOR THE MAFIA LORD

A BRIDE FOR THE MAFIA LORD

I thrived on that fear. The heavy steel doors groaned as they opened, revealing the dim, cold corridor of my underground prison. The air here always felt different—thick, damp, and humming with despair. It was buried deep beneath the estate, away from prying eyes and ears. We passed a few empty cells before reaching the one at the far end. Inside, a man sat slumped against the wall, his shirt torn and his face bloodied. He lifted his head as I approached, squinting at the light from the bare bulb overhead.

It is interesting. yes! For me I think there's no idea introducing the Fl family and ML being so stupidly possessive and sweet. side Characters are well developed. why did Olivia die? Luciano was a really asshole and got Christopher..... ahhh. his Betrayal wasn't worth it.

Moonlit Vengeance

Moonlit Vengeance

“This is just an abandoned trailer park I found. It isn’t much, but it allows my pack members to keep under the radar.” “Is there a reason you are trying to keep under the radar?” I looked over my shoulder and watched as the older man secured the gate with the chain. “Let’s talk inside.” He spoke as he dusted the rust off his hands and onto his torn jeans. Following the man into the shed, I was surprised to see that it wasn’t just a shed. It was an entrance to an underground bunker. Taking the ladder down the hole, I sucked in a sharp breath when I saw an array of blankets scattered around an open space inside the bunker. There wasn’t any furniture, just a few boxes that looked to be used as

Surrendering to the Billionaire

Surrendering to the Billionaire

She’d said she’d be back “after Adrian got the message.” But she stayed awake. Alert. She replayed Sophie’s words again and again. Not just vengeance. Not just power. The door creaked again. This time, a man entered. Not masked. Just forgettable. Pale skin. Gray jacket. Cold eyes. He placed a tray down. “Eat.” “I’m not hungry,” Amelia said flatly. He didn’t flinch. “Suit yourself.” She stared at him as he turned to leave. “Where are we?” He didn’t answer. But the echo in his boots told her something, they were underground. Possibly industrial. The smell of old oil and dust. Not military, but something long-forgotten. She memorized everything.

Becoming a Substitute Wife for a Cold Mafia

Becoming a Substitute Wife for a Cold Mafia

The night crept in like black soot enveloping Neophile City, but inside the underground infiltration path located dozens of meters beneath the Wilder hills, the air felt cold and smelled of iron. The path was a network of old concrete tunnels left behind by the old faction—a secret route unmapped on any digital device. This was where Zean Wilder moved, leading a dozen personnel from the central faction's elite team. Their footsteps were barely audible, muffled by tactical boots with thick rubber soles.

“Here I opened it! Put down the fucking gun—“ Suddenly, Sebastian shoves the man into the hatch, causing him to drop onto the wet, moldy floor. The man scrambled into a scream, but the area underground concealed his echoing scream. “Fuck man! Get me off here!” Sebastian could tell from his reactions that there was something in that basement that yielded that type of reaction. Soon after, he drops from the basement after dropping the ladder. As soon as he entered, he found rusted cells. Blood and chains sprawled across the floor.

Alpha VS Omega' Twin VS Twin (A Dark Werewolf Romance)

POV: Isla Reid | Beneath the Rookeries The shelter volunteers called it the Underneath, which was accurate and not enough. The Rookeries itself was already below the surface of the city that most people saw, the wrong side of the Veil, the wrong side of every economic line that had ever been drawn across East London. But there was a level below that, and Isla knew she was in it the moment the stairs ran out and the tunnel floor leveled beneath her boots.

THE CURSED NECKLACE

THE CURSED NECKLACE

And something older beneath it. Something rotten. Elena stared into the darkness below. Stone stairs disappeared deep underground. The whispers sounded almost excited now. Home. Her necklace pulsed warm against her throat. Every instinct told her to walk away. Instead— Elena stepped inside. The hidden door closed quietly behind her. Darkness swallowed everything. ————————— The underground chambers felt ancient. Not built. Buried. The stone walls narrowed tightly around Elena while dim lanterns flickered weakly along the corridor. Her footsteps echoed softly.

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

*Bang* Although Mane held back, Black Hand felt like he had been struck with the power of a hundred bulls. He was flung several meters away, and his broken figure fell haphazardly onto the ground. “Last one,” Mane was slightly out of breath. Even for him, doing this wasn’t easy. His sharp eyes scanned the area, looking for any possible hiding spots. Then he remembered something he had read before. “Snakes can dig holes and hide underground. And so can Foxes” That was how Black Hand had been able to get away. He was underground the entire time! He had only revealed himself because his underground hiding spot was invaded by the smoke from the smoke bomb.

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

Frequently Asked Questions

Fred Daniels is the protagonist of 'The Man Who Lived Underground,' and his story is one of those that sticks with you long after you turn the last page. Richard Wright crafts this character with such raw intensity—a Black man falsely accused of a crime, forced into hiding in the sewers, where he grapples with existential dread and the absurdity of societal injustice.

What fascinates me about Fred isn’t just his plight, but how Wright uses his underground existence to mirror larger themes of invisibility and resistance. The way he observes the world from below, stealing glimpses of life he’s been denied, feels like a metaphor for systemic oppression. It’s haunting, but there’s also a weird kind of empowerment in his refusal to be erased.
