Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

The village was semi-encircled by a dense forest, composed of tall evergreen trees rising in the background, their dark green needles contrasting with the lighter foliage closer to the ground. It was a day like any other, Amelia had just returned from the well with a bucket of water. Suddenly the ground trembled and the sound of marching and screaming came from the horizon. A bunch of villagers gathered by the blacksmith’s hut, looking at the ridge. Amelia shoved through the crowd, and then she saw it, black banners snapping in the wind and soldiers lining the ridge in ranks so deep she couldn’t see the end – twisted shapes in dark armour, eyes glowing like coals. A few villagers had farming

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

The voice of the metals continued to scream as the hammers of the blacksmith descended upon them. The screams only stopped to a hissing sound when the men imbued them into the water pan beside the metal table, and resumes their previous beating. Those clatter and noise from the anvil could cause the ear to bleed. It’s been hours since they came here, yet none of the three blacksmith had fashion any reasonable weapon. It was as if they were toiling in vain, or were they doing this as a hobby?

Raven the lurker
I have gotten used to read female lead stories from her so this time when it is male lead it's quite a refreshing and interesting change up. The start is promising and very well written and it's not the typical type of a novel so give it a chance as this author never ceases from surprising you.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

“Are you thinking of carrying them into battle?” “We are just trying to bury them.” “Nonsense.” Outraged, the Black Swallow said, “Another second spent here is another second given to Dark Occult to prepare for our invasion. Stop with what you are doing now and start moving.” “But these are our people,” they replied. “Are you kidding me?” The Black Swallow felt irritated and kicked the villager. “Hurry up and stop with all the nonsense.” The temper among the villagers rose as they approached the Black Swallow with angry stares. “What is this, huh? Why did you kick him? Who do you think you are?”

5 stars+++One of the best books on here! I wished he could write another book as part 2 ! I laugh and I cried and I sat on the edge of my chair !! No other authors on this sight could come close to his writing . I hope he went to a different company for his other books for a contract ..

Love all the characters especially ML and FL. True love bonding. Tyr never sets his eyes on other women tho surrounded by them n possesses s/natural powers. Unlike some amazingSIL stories abandoned the wife for hundreds of chaps, he always keeps in touch wt his wife. Lots to learn from this story.

The boy looked exhausted, but was hammering away at a piece of iron over a large semi-rusted anvil. Will was elated, this is just what he needed. His previous home had a severe lack of metal tools and weapons, stone wasn't even close to being as useful. He tried to listen to what the old man was yelling at the kid, but he couldn't understand anything yet. But watching was enough. Will could learn by watching alone. Practicing would have been better, but even if he came after they were completely closed, he surmised that the blacksmith lived on the second floor of this shop. Hammering iron would immediately wake the old man.

Abnormals: Rise of Kronos

Abnormals: Rise of Kronos

The sun rose for what would be the last morning the Zlona-Sintar Village would see. The village was bustling with life. Young children were playing in the cobblestone streets, their older peers were off to their day spent at the Schola. Adults were preparing for a day of work. Blacksmiths were preparing their forges, shopkeepers opened their shops, the warriors of the village were awaiting for their orders while milling about the gray stone barracks. All except one.

The Book of Deceive

The Book of Deceive

“There is, go north, to a small mountain village, there you will find the smith.” Yanta turned. He set immediately for the castle, he had business there, the smith can wait. Poor Tom, he thought. Finally, he started a business. Then, a flood happens. Drinkwell’s been busy. His second tome? A second tome! He said that there will be only one tome. A third book on the horizon. Who would have thought? No doubt that the title would be something short. People don’t like long titles. Will it be poetical? I don’t think so.

Demon's Evolution

Demon's Evolution

It was widely acknowledged that blacksmiths residing near the borders were among the finest, second only to those in the capital city. As soon as I entered the blacksmiths' workshop, all of them halted their work and converged around me, wearing welcoming smiles and displaying flattery in their demeanor. Their eager eyes gleamed with anticipation, almost as if they could see gold coins flashing before them, presuming I was a significant customer. They proudly presented their best weapons and armors, handling them delicately and appraising them as though they were priceless treasures. However, despite their enthusiasm, I couldn't help feeling disappointed.

Beyond Night

Beyond Night

“Hard to accept such a people could produce an army of brutal bastards to challenge us.” The General, the members of his personal guard, and August rode to where the villagers waited. August noticed at once the burly man, with the appearance of a blacksmith by his apron and the pincers in his belt, who stood at the head of the cluster of villagers. Though he held no weapon, his back stretched up firm and his stance was one of defiance despite the Romans’ numbers. August prayed the man wouldn’t try anything foolish in defense of his people. One crucifixion on this journey was one too many already.

The Black Cliff

The Black Cliff

From time to time the animals bleated at each other as if exchanging words, and tried to push their fellows away from the most delicious areas of grass. Johann hated the Black Cliff and dreamed to leave it, break out of the mustiness of the eternal fog and head south where it was always warm as in summer, the harvest ripened faster, and the air smelled lavander and peaches. Capital people delivered groceries for sale in the villages the Black Cliff.

Reapers Of Suffering

Reapers Of Suffering

Yes, quickly. The sorcerer was bitter and hurt for the absurdly dead blacksmith, who, apparently, was mourned only by children, while his wife was burdened by the need to grieve. From the indifference of a good-for-nothing woman, from such obvious neglect, something black rose in my soul, learning. Going up to the mistress of the house, he squeezed the collar of her shirt and, looking into her eyes wide with fear, said:
