The gods themselves acknowledged her as their chosen.” Lyra listened, her pulse thrumming. She already knew that much. But Killian’s expression was grim as he turned to another page, revealing a passage written in a script she had only seen in fragments.

I will be spending the next month going back through and editing my chapters, something I didn't have as much time as I would have liked while writing with a deadline these past few months, and then I will start on book 2. Needless to say I was kind of surprised at how much she knew. I was looking for patterns, who won and how they won and that's when I noticed the dates of each of the major wars. They were all exactly 150 years apart.
