The Other Woman

The Other Woman

The air was still, like the world itself was holding its breath. Dry trees rattled in the distance. The earth was cracked and uneven, and the mist crawling over the ground gave it the feel of a graveyard long abandoned. The silence was so complete, it was deafening - like even the ghosts had stopped to watch what was about to unfold. From the north, Shivesh and Natasha came walking. Both dressed in black. Faces tight. Expressions unreadable - but the fear in their eyes wasn't hidden. Natasha's fingers clutched her clothes tighter, the chill crawling deeper than her bones.

Stuck With The Bikers

Stuck With The Bikers

Still at the Ronaldo's mansion~~~ Tension lingered in the air, the silence sharp and suffocating. The woman in a black sheath dress still could not believe the information she had received from her secretary. She had a black lipstick on her lips and her dark raven hair hung freely around her neck. Golden accessories dangled on her body, an air of wealth surrounding her. "Get me everything you can find on Amanda Greyson," the woman barked at the man, her voice dripping with venom.

Alpha's Last Chance

Alpha's Last Chance

Their soft wails filled the sterile room as if the sound itself sought to cut through the mansion’s cold silence. But there would be no rescue, no salvation. Soon, a woman in a white lab coat, her nameplate showing, Dr. Ana Blackwood walked among the cribs, her eyes scanning the infants with a detached clinical focus. Her dark hair was pulled back tightly, her face pale and expressionless. She had been with the Black Order for decades now, her loyalty and her role in Project Regen the Elixir of Youth were pivotal. She was no stranger to death or suffering—it was merely a part of her work now.

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

*Boom* The nonexistent winds howled and the space shook. Time itself was constrained, and space was imprisoned within itself. Amidst the grey there was a darkness that was located at its core. It was a black light that was nothing yet everything. The darkness parted way to reveal a woman clad entirely in white. The irony of her atire and the energy that surrounded her made a mockery of fate itself. She was extremely beautiful, almost to the point of disbelief. Her face was so exquisitely carved that even the most brilliantly crafted of jade paled in comparison. She was entirely beautiful - from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet.

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

The Dragon Slayer's Queen

The Dragon Slayer's Queen

She’d rolled, reached, grabbed Bella by the hair, and jerked her up and away. And then the air changed, the taste of it going iron-rich—outside the shattered glass, the world had gone dark as ink. A white blaze struck the stone floor. Through the black dust, a woman in a flowing black dress stood, her hands empty, her hair a curtain of red silk. She smiled at Mariah, and it was the precise inverse of the Queen’s: cold, blunt, and utterly without hope. “Enough,” she said, and in a heartbeat, every candle in the great hall died.

HUNJI: A Broken Wolf & the last witch of Andora - Book 4

HUNJI: A Broken Wolf & the last witch of Andora - Book 4

I am the last daughter of Andora and they will feel my power. The woman in black catches my eye again, as she stares in disbelief as the echoes begin to systematically move through the enemy sucking the life forces of everyone they come in contact with. I raise my hand, finger pointed to the woman in black, “Kill her.” I command an echo. The woman in black lifts her head, nose twitching, nostrils flaring. She caught a scent of something. Her eyes shift and land on me then dart to the echo almost upon her. “Morgan! No!” I see Finn racing toward the woman in black “St

Yes, an excellent read, full of intrigue and drama, love and torment. All four of this series have been worth waiting for. Just one complaint: where are the next two books on Goodbooks? Do I need to look elsewhere? I hate leaving a story mid way, and need to know how it all finishes.

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Alpha Rex.

Because that wasn’t what we’d expected. Not even close. The woman looked directly at Isabella. Her eyes filled with sorrow. “She succeeded.” A cold feeling settled into my chest. Because somehow… that sounded much worse. The woman stood. Slowly. Carefully. Like every movement hurt. “The problem is what she succeeded in doing.” Lightning flashed outside. The entire council hall glowed silver. And for one brief second— every symbol on the woman’s robes lit up. Not gold. Not silver. Black. Dark as midnight.

Alpha Draven's Regret: The Return of His Rejected Mate

Alpha Draven's Regret: The Return of His Rejected Mate

That wretched scream, and laughter, soft feminine, terrible voice. A woman emerged from the haze. Her dress flickered like shadow and flame. Her hair fell in a thick and tangled way around her shoulders, strands silver as black as nightmares. Zaira Blackthorn. I did not know how I knew her name, but I knew. The same way, I knew that she was a witch. "Such chaos," she whispered, voice like smoke and poison. "So much effort to protect something you were destined to lose." Behind her floated symbols drawn in blood, pulsing with sickly green light. I tried to run forward, to throw myself at her, to stop her, but my body would not move. My feet were rooted. My throat locked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Scrolling through this and figured I’d share what finally worked for me. My local library’s digital app had a waitlist for 'The Woman in Black', but I signed up anyway and got it in about two weeks. Totally free. If you're in the US, Libby is basically how I read everything now, and the ebook quality is solid. I also checked Amazon and Kobo for purchase—it’s usually priced pretty low. Buying it from there feels more straightforward if you hate waiting. Sometimes it’s a buck or two more than the shadier sites, but you don’t have to worry about malware or a weird formatting mess.

Actually, I bounced off Google Play Books once because the preview was a weird edition, so maybe double-check the publisher on any platform before you commit. But the main takeaway is library first, then a major retailer. Keeps things simple and legal.
