She tapped the screen, cycling through views. Angled slices of his heart appeared—short axis, long axis, four-chamber, two-chamber. No matter how she looked at it, the story was the same: progressive conduction system damage. His heart was a traitor. Slow, insidious.

A ghost of a memory I haven't formed yet. I blink, and the feeling is gone. He’s Cole. My Cole. But as the helicopter turns toward the horizon, I realize that the space between wrong and right didn't just disappear. It’s inside me now. And I have no idea what it’s going to do next.

You saw me messy, broken, stubborn and you stayed anyway.” His eyes glisten, barely visible under the sunlight. “I don’t know what kind of love this is,” I continue, my voice trembling. “But if it’s wrong, then I’ll live with wrong. Because it’s mine. And so are you.” The crowd exhales like they forgot how to breathe. I can feel the world watching, but for once, I don’t care.

She knows what he was aiming for, to see her angry but she doesn't want to show him how angry she was, to give him the satisfaction that he managed to make her angry. "Well, you're right but one thing that you're wrong about is the fact that you cheated on me, you can't cheat on someone that you're not dating. You were never dating me so you can't cheat on me. I had a crush on you, nothing serious, the crush is the same thing as the one I had on Ken in the Barbie movie when I was young." He glared at her but didn't say anything. It was pretty obvious to her that he was upset with what she was saying.

Everyone else came and congratulated us. "I still owe you a ring Millie Mouse since you stole my chance to propose," Hayden said. "Yeap, I win," I smirked. I didn't care about the ring or anything else. All I wanted was the guy of my dreams, and he was standing right in front of me. His pale blue eyes were gazing into mine.
