"DADDY!" the girl screamed and ran into the room. She ignored Aniva's frantic and insistent mumblings and hung onto the dead body of her father. Through blurry eyes, she glared at her mother and sneered, "You monster!" Aniva took a look at her hands and the gun in them and without even saying goodbye to her daughter, she put the gun in her mouth and shot the last bullet.

You know, in most supernatural movies I have watched, the queen is usually the one to be protected by members of her clan, while the king and the rest of their men would be the ones to go to the fight. But here, all I see is a queen who's rugged and won't allow anyone to treat her as trash. She would fight right back and kick her enemies right in the balls if that's what it takes for them to know she isn't to be messed with. I find that encouraging, actually.
