Betrayed by The Exchange

Betrayed by The Exchange

Not ever. Summer sat by the window, staring out into the darkness. The cold breeze from the open window brushed against her skin, but the chill in the air was nothing compared to the unease gnawing at her chest. Hilda had just left for the night, and now she was alone, consumed by thoughts of what Jessica was planning. Her mind couldn't settle, turning over the conversation she'd overheard earlier. Jessica's words echoed in her mind—When the foxes leave tomorrow, Summer will go with them.

Summer Waves

Summer Waves

"Helbert! Helbert!" Little feet in flip-flops sprinted across the sand towards a young guy with long hair standing barefoot on the beach. The kid’s face lit up with joy, like seeing Helbert on the shore was the best thing that happened to him today, giving him two precious moments at once.

Leaving on a Summer's Day

Leaving on a Summer's Day

Bethany's expression froze, the joy in her eyes vanishing as sheer panic took its place. The terror she felt was laid bare in front of Mitchell, and in that moment, it looked almost comical. Though it was the height of summer, Bethany felt a chill crawl over her skin, a chill that had nothing to do with the weather. She had already experienced the madness that Mitchell could descend into for Heather's sake, twice now, and the fear of reliving it a third time made her stomach turn.

I don't comment on books I have read, but I have to do this. Dear author, you write so well and your stories are beautiful. it's like I'm watching a movie smiling all through, I pray your well of wisdom will never run dry. Keep writing amazing and beautiful stories
Golden Bow & Arrow
It is such a nice surprise to see a story like this. All the other stories are either in-laws hating the MC or some slop about acquiring ancient medical techniques from a dream or a book. I still think the story should have ended in the 134th episode, leaving the future for our imagination. Cheers!!

A Summer's Coincidence With The Alpha CEO

A Summer's Coincidence With The Alpha CEO

"Yeah, I just had to get reminded by my best friend. This would make a great plot for those crazy romance books you read. A girl goes on a summer vacation and-" "Alright, alright." Kait raises her hands in surrender and slips off my desk. "You're pissed. I probably shouldn't have asked, but I did because it's a logical question, so stop being so defensive. Jeez." She sighs, her long fingers smoothing the pleats of her pants. Yet I'm the dramatic one. "He has an eagle tattoo on his back," I blurt, then blink hard. How on earth could I have forgotten that? A smile spreads on my lips, and I clap my hands in excitement like I've just been told I won the lottery.

Irish Midsummer

Irish Midsummer

The room was dimly lit and I walked through the rows of shelves slowly, studying each book before moving to the next. This large chamber was my family’s library. While change is said to be a constant phenomenon, I liked to make jokes about this room being the only thing I knew that wasn't subject to modification. It held information about the realms, historical pieces, information about the other realms, and classified information on how our family’s business is run and it left me wondering why anyone would leave the door open given that visitors from the other realm were in our home.

Accidentally married the multi-billionaire

Accidentally married the multi-billionaire

Summer yelled as she fumbled through her pocket and finally found her phone inside of her back pocket. "I've booked the ride home." Amira looked up to stare at her before clearing her voice. "Ugh ugh. Well, I'll be booking another ride then." Summer twitched her eyebrows before swiveling to look at Amira's full profile as she rubbed her eyes. "What do you mean you're booking another ride? Are you mad because Aiden left us? He's like that sometimes and you know that." Summer coaxed and Amira shook her head in negativity.

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

A Prophecy of Crowns and Harmony

TRIGGER WARNING: SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THIS CHAPTER Juniper Summer was always my favorite season. Some people complained summer is too hot, or too humid, but I loved the feel of the sun shining down on me, loved being able to spend my entire day hanging out in and around the stream, and loved having an ice-cold lemonade at the hottest part of the day. While it was technically not summer yet — the solstice was still several weeks away — the temperature was hot enough for me to claim it was summer.

The nanny's summer

The nanny's summer

Everyone asked at the same time and Joel felt it was awkward, "it was meant to be your graduation gift but anyways, it's not too late or early to tell you now" He smiled and Beatrice was more shocked, she couldn't believe what was happening. "Okay, so, can we book the first month, I want different wear deigns, I don't care about the amount" Mark said as he could tell what Joel was trying to do. Mark smiled inwardly as Joel's possessiveness was about the chart. "Just contact me directly," Joel said and Benita chuckled. "Why don't you give me your number?" Benita asked and Beatrice was so pleased, "sure"

That Summer I met Him

That Summer I met Him

I took a couple of pictures of us, dance with Kal on my arms as I planted a kiss on his forehead. We headed home and I went inside my room to change and took a long bath. That night my parents went in my room when I was about to sleep. We talk about the deal and that I should prepare for Mr. Cold-foot, I mean Mr. Cole Ford will be coming any day this week. I sighed as they took their leave. I guess my freedom ends as summer starts. Summer, it’s like my favorite of all the seasons but at the same time I hate it.... •••

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been a book lover for years, and 'One Summer' is one of those titles that stuck with me. The publisher is Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group. They’ve released a lot of memorable titles, and this one is no exception. It’s a heartwarming story about family, love, and second chances, and the publisher did a great job bringing it to readers.

Grand Central Publishing is known for its wide range of genres, from romance to thrillers, and they always deliver quality. If you’re into books that leave you feeling uplifted, this one’s a solid pick. I’ve read quite a few of their releases, and they rarely disappoint. The cover design and formatting are always on point too, which makes the reading experience even better.
