Half Wild, Half Yours

Half Wild, Half Yours

“This is a gay bar.” Thomas’s eyes widen. “Wait, what?” “And most of these sexy women?” I nod toward the crowd. “Trans men. The performer? Drag queen. Queen of the desert, actually.” Brody’s jaw drops. “I’ve had my butt smacked twice. I thought once was an accident.” “Nope.” I sip my drink. “You’re very popular.” Thomas scrubs a hand down his face. “I knew I was getting the eye from the guy by the jukebox.”

Reborn Queen's Gambit

Reborn Queen's Gambit

Yet the teardrop mole at the corner of his eye lent a subtle grace to his otherwise austere expression. Inside the box lay a floor-length gown of deep green tulle. The bodice shimmered faintly with scales—snake scales—stitched into the fabric. I had never seen such a beautiful dress. For a moment, I was completely captivated. "Clarice," Draco said calmly, "this gown was hand-stitched by our serpent clan's finest seamstresses. Each scale was a blessing offered by our people." His gaze carried a deliberate detachment, as if the person marrying me wasn't him at all.

If only it wasn't a short, imit would be great if the points from reading and checking could be used to read the next chapter but nope you have to subscribe, I was loving the story until that point shame.

The book starting off sounds like any reddit story you'll come across about being reborn or these stories that have the same plot about having two reborn back to blank day. Overall, the story seems to go well and actually rather interesting from chapter 1-3.

The Queen's Gambit

Would he take me seriously? Then I realized it didn’t matter if I went in a onesie, a ball gown or naked. He’d have to take me seriously. It wasn’t my clothes he needed, after all. It was me. Irina Dobrev, sister to the Pakhan of Boston. I sent Pasha over to see a man. His name is John Ziang. He’s a broker. If there’s a deal to be made, you can be sure he’s somewhere in the middle of it. If there’s a man who can set up a meet with the Rabbits without my brother knowing, it’s him.

QUEEN OF THE BROKEN MOON

QUEEN OF THE BROKEN MOON

“You saw the threat. You hunted it. You exposed it. Today, you have earned not just my trust—but the court’s respect.” Elira faced the nobles, her voice quiet but unshaking. “I am Elira Stormfang. Once a servant. Once a ghost. Now a queen in all but name. And I will not be broken.” And no one—no one—dared to argue. ---

QUEEN OF THE BROKEN TRIAD

“The Alphas signed this an hour ago. You’ve been officially summoned to the evening tribunal.” I snatched the paper from his hand, my eyes ripping through the text. “A summons? Thomas, you know Liora is making all of this up. I didn't touch any records three years ago!” “Tell it to the elders tonight,” Thomas muttered, turning his back on me to walk into the hall. “Wait!” I yelled, chasing after him. “What about my parents' inheritance? The land deed and the funds in the pack safe? I need to secure my own things if I am being put on trial.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Man, Thomas Brodie-Sangster’s role in 'The Queen’s Gambit' was such a standout! He played Benny Watts, this eccentric but brilliant chess prodigy who becomes a mentor and rival to Beth Harmon. What I loved about his portrayal was how he balanced Benny’s cocky, almost theatrical personality with this underlying warmth. The way he chewed scenery with that cowboy hat and sharp wit made every scene he was in crackle.

But beyond the flair, there was depth—Benny pushes Beth to grow, teaching her speed chess and forcing her out of her comfort zone. Their dynamic was electric, part rivalry, part mutual respect. Sangster nailed the nuance of someone who’s both a showman and a genuine genius. That final scene where he watches her play in Russia? Chills. It’s a testament to how memorable even supporting roles can be when the actor brings this much charisma.
