Could it be the money in his piggy bank? Connor did not appear immediately but returned to his office, stood in front of the French window, and watched Calvin’s car drive out of the garden. I moot. Connor takes a deep breath before shoving his hand in his pocket and pulling out his cellphone. He speed-dials someone, and after a few quick questions, he's happy with the answer on the other side. Connor sets in motion, ordering me to follow. We walk the castle, and he takes the time to point out critical directions till the corridors become familiar. -"You are not taking me to Adrian, are you?" My question seems to step on Connor's toes. He frowns his brows before saying no while knocking on the door. Moments later, it opens, the light from the inside adding clarity to the dim corridor.

Connor interrupted the butler sharply, “Carl, get me a flight ticket to Richworth. I need to swing down there for a bit.” “Understood.” Carl did as he was told and got the flight ticket as requested. Shortly after that, the phone in the living room rang again. He promptly answered and had a brief exchange with the caller before bringing the phone to Connor. “Sir, it’s Mr. Adam.” Connor considered for a moment and decided to dismiss the call. He instructed Carl curtly, “Just tell him I’m not feeling well and can’t come to the phone right now. Also, tell him that he’s going to have to hold off on the joint project for now.”
