But all that had changed ever since the emperor broke them and turned them to slave, killing anyone who had the power in them.

The novel stated this as historical fact, briefly, in a section of worldbuilding that the author clearly found more interesting than the hero's romantic subplot but had buried in Chapter 74 anyway. Three kingdoms, across what the novel implied was a very long time, for reasons that were never specified.

In my own alternate universe, as I said in the previous chapter, Ancient Siam was found in the Middle of Yuan Empire (China), Ayutthaya Kingdom (Thailand), Ottoman Empire ( Turkey), and Silla Kingdom (Korea) hence Ancient Siam was like an interracial empire, because of the cross marriages happens, they had cultures and traditions from neighboring kingdom. So far, there are eleven Black Dragon Kings to exist. They have created techniques, live their lives in their own skin. Some identify solely as male, solely female, both like him or neither and with different sexualities depending on their gender identity. Some had families, some did not.
