Maybe he woke me to get to the bedroom but I can't remember because of how sleepy I was. I sat up slowly, the pounding in my head making me wince. The glow of the moon outside the window made me realize it was late, really late. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, my toes touching the floor lightly. Ugh. My body felt heavy, and my head pounded seriously. Fuck. This is what days without proper sleep and feeding causes. I dragged myself to the bathroom, pausing by the huge mirror above the sink. I turned on the faucet and splashed cold water on my face, hoping it would stop my pounding headache.

She noticed that there were no windows in the room and the ceilings seemed to go on forever, the only object in the room, asides the chair she was bound to was the bright bulb hanging off the ceiling. Sighing softly, she shuffled in her seat, trying to get into a comfortable position on the stiff chair, huffing in annoyance when she couldn’t find one. Shutting her eyes, she let the exhaustion of the recent events wash over her. She couldn’t figure out what these people had in store for her and thinking about it all made her head hurt. Shaking her head gently, she closed her eyes and let sleep take over.

Draco woke up the next morning feeling a bitter headache and pain all over his head. He groaned as he tried to sit up, his head feeling like it was being split in two. The pain radiated from his temples down to his neck, and he felt dizzy and disoriented. He tried to remember what had happened the night before but his mind was foggy, and his thoughts were jumbled. He stumbled out of bed and walked to the washbasin to splash water on his face.

She never intended to plant such thoughts into his head to make him see her that way but well, the situation made her do it without her knowing and the repercussions are what she was facing. “Ugh. Why does my head hurt so much? It was as if someone dislocated my neck,” she complained as she tried to stand up from the bed and make her way to the bathroom but the pain in her neck was just too much and she could feel that her temperature had increased in just some hours. Her inside was burning and her shivering and running nose made her confirm that she caught a cold. That was the result of sleeping on the couch with a thin blanket and waiting for her husband.

Petal's POV A ray of sunlight peeked through the curtains, its warmth landing on my face like a sudden, unwanted reminder that the day had begun. The sensation was both soothing and irritating at once, especially when my head was pounding like a drum. The pain radiated through my temples, and my body felt oddly stiff. Groaning, I shifted, trying to find a comfortable position, but something was off. My pillow felt like a hard stone, uncomfortable against my face. I sighed in frustration, the headache only intensifying with each passing moment.

I can't take it but I can't make any noise, I don't wanna wake my sister up. I hold my head as tight as I could trying my best not to make any sound, I was just holding my body down while holding my head. "I-it h-hurts," I muttered while sobbing. I want to bang my head for me to fall asleep and end this hell in the meantime but I just can't. Crawling, crying, catching my breath is the only thing I can do for me not to disturb my sister. I fell asleep after almost an hour of suffering that hell-like head hurt. I don't have any energy to go back to my bed and ended up sleeping here on the cold floor of my balcony.

I knew I wouldn't fall asleep even though I still climbed into the bed and covered myself with the duvet. But why does it feel like I slept off? I know I can't sleep. Any time I manage to drift off, nightmares wake me up. This much I know. Yet it feels like I dozed off. I sigh as I sit up. My head is banging. The lack of sleep is messing my head up. “How did you get in?” “How else? Through the damn doors!” Brenda slams. She flings her purse and slumps onto the bed. She seems furious about something.

It was better. The next day, Ben had to leave early also and she did not see him go because she was too deep in sleep. When she woke up, her neck was sore. Twisting and turning was made impossible cause of the size of the couch, so it made her position her neck and body in unnatural ways, being that much of a deep sleeper made it even worse for her.

Although we slept as a loving family last night, she was not yet ready to accept me as her spouse. I grinned as I thought of her lying on the couch, asleep. It was midnight, and I had gotten up for a glass of water when my eyes rested on her as she slept. She was sleeping so lightly on the couch that her body was actually on the floor. She was sleeping without a pillow as well. If she does not sleep in the right position, she will undoubtedly wake up with a neck ache. When she wakes up and discovers she is in the same bed as me, she will undoubtedly get very upset, but it is acceptable to put up with her wrath rather than her neck pain.

Pain shot through my scalp, causing me to wince and jerk upright. Using my finger, I pressed down on the tip of the braids to soothe out the pain. I didn’t know what I was thinking, dropping my head like that—I wasn’t thinking. Even with the efforts of my soft pillows, sleeping with braids feels uncomfortable during the first few days. Realizing I might die of boredom, I turned to Ben, reaching to lift his headphones from his head. He startled, looking alarmed when I dropped the headphones on his neck. Seeing it was me, he relaxed, his gaze filled with questions.
