A familiar voice perked up beside me.
Tiffany walked in step, her bag slung over her arm as she matched my pace.
“What're you doing down here?”
I noticed the heat that crawled up her cheeks. She turned slightly, fixing her gaze on nothing in particular.
Somehow, that was enough to tell me everything I needed to know.
“Aren't those Mrs. Campbell's?” she changed topics, gesturing to the books in my hand, and I silently obliged.
