“You really don’t mind your business, do you?”
I smiled.
“You’re family,” I said coolly. “And that makes your business my business—right?”
“Terisa!” Vivian stomped her foot, her voice sharp with frustration.
“You’re defensive,” I replied, turning away from her outburst. “That usually means I’m right.”
“Enough!” my grandmother’s voice sliced through the air.
“But she started it,” Vivian protested.
I turned to her and gave her a warm, innocent smile.
“Then go ahead,” I said calmly. “Finish it.”
