The creations are always known as the Titans. The Titans are what the inhabitants normally refer to as gods. Anyway, I’m getting off track.

"Move!" Dax roared, shoving my father toward the stolen SUV. "The ceiling is coming down!" But the loading dock wasn't empty anymore. Standing between us and the exit was a nightmare of chrome and hydraulics. A Titan-Sentinel. It was twelve feet tall, a bipedal tank with a rotary cannon for an arm. In the original timeline, this thing had killed three of our best riders. It had taken us six chapters to figure out how to scratch its paint.

Something that didn't belong in a "Real World." A **Titan** stepped out of the shadows. It was thirty feet tall, its body made of rusted iron and pulsing violet tubes. It had the face of a man, but the eyes were giant searchlights. On its chest, a large silver logo was etched into the metal: **AETHEL-GROUP: ASSET RECOVERY**. "Subject 01 and Donor 04," the Titan’s voice boomed, sounding like a thousand speakers blowing out at once. "You have exceeded your 'Independence' quota. Please remain still while your 'Conflict Data' is harvested."

“She is a Blackwood, Valencia. They don't just leave legacies; they leave traps.” “‘You’ve only inherited the throne,’” I repeated, glancing at Mia, who was asleep in the adjacent seat. “What throne? I destroyed the mountain. I locked the cages. There is no throne left.” “The throne isn't a chair in a mountain, child,” Maria said, finally meeting my gaze. “It’s the Titan system. It’s the billions in untraceable assets. It’s the power to end wars or start them. And right now, it’s pulsing inside your veins.”

The major players will be in this story from the first one: Katarina, Aston, and Dominic. There will be new characters, and the story will continue with the Blackpaw pack, mostly. Victor looked at him, then addressed the others. “I was thinking of giving him the name ‘Papiro,’” he said, “but honestly, it sounds foolish. Titus deserves a stronger name. From now on, he will be called Titan.” Victor’s words were strong and clear, and the rest of the members immediately responded, chanting in unison, “Titan, Victor’s right hand… Titan, the name of the new moon… Titan, will lead us to Victory!” The chant echoed through the room, and Victor raised his hand to silence them. “Titan is now my second-in-command,” he declared, his eyes scanning the room, “and you will all follow his orders as if they were my own.”

I comment. "Unlike you, I don't have family alive old enough to tell me about the unicorns. I had heard that after the Fires of Alira the unicorns disappeared. Strange considering they were the pillar of the world order. Or so the book says," Flavius talks glancing at me.
