Toby knew that if I died or got seriously hurt on his watch, Stone would personally put a bullet through his head.
"Shit... shit!" Toby cursed frantically, the sound of his keys jingling loudly as he struggled to find the right one. "Hold on, don't move! I’m opening the door, but don't you try anything, civilian!"
The heavy brass lock turned with a sharp, mechanical click. The door swung open, and Toby stepped into the room, his eyes scanning the floor quickly, looking for the blood I had promised. He was a tall, lanky kid wearing a dirty denim cut, his hand resting nervously on his own hip.
