*** When I woke up, Johan was sitting on the edge of the bed, shirtless and smoking. He heard me move and looked back. A check landed on the bed in front of me. I stared at it. "I've got less than three months left. Couldn't you wait a little longer?" Johan frowned. "Yara Yelton, you should know your place."

"Bloody hell, Abby. You are freezing. How long have you been sitting out here?" "I don't know. Since eleven-ish, I think." Abby, it is nearly three o'clock. Let's get you somewhere warm so you can thaw out." Taylor spots a cosy-looking café and drags me in, despite my protestations. It is only when I settle into the warm booth that I realise just how truly cold I was. Taylor orders me a hot chocolate and a toasted sandwich, which I feebly protest at but am secretly rather grateful for when it eventually arrives.

I swallowed the leap I never realised was in my throat, and faced her fully. "Why are you being so cold towards me, I mean it has been three whole months we have been working together here, and until now you are still cold despite how hard I try to make you stop acting cold, and being friendly with you." I finally poured out my frustrations, and she just sighed. "What makes you think I would ever stop acting cold towards you?" She asked me, while putting her palms together. "I don't know, but maybe because I have been trying to be friendly here." I told her, and she just laughed critically.

Its light was different from the pale washed out glow I had grown used to through barred facility windows. Here it looked larger somehow. More deliberate. Like it was watching. “How soon?” I asked, though some part of me already dreaded the answer. She pulled her knees to her chest slowly, her eyes still fixed on that swollen moon. “Three days,” she whispered. The cold wind moved through the room again. And this time, it felt less like weather and more like a warning.

She mumbled, gawking at my face hatefully, " So... it was you...you sent those.. footage?" I didn't need to give her my explanation. Glancing up at the AC, I ordered Max nonchalantly, " Lower the temperature, Max. I am hot." It was just a little warm up of her torture. I didn't offer her any warm or dry clothes as soon as she got into the house after hours of waiting. The clock was already heading towards three a.m at night. Max followed my order. I brought my eyes back to her. She was shivering and trembling in coldness. When the AC's temperature dropped down, her face became paler than before. However, she was fighting hard to keep her momentum sharp and nonchalant.

Maya was a complete mess and her make-up she was very sure was now far from attractive and quite alarming instead.
