I shook my head. “Okay fine. So you can’t directly get Duncan to excuse me. But you can talk to one of those with a rank. Like maybe Silvercloud or Charles?” he asked, hurrying to catch up. “Why them? I could also talk to John or Logan. They have more authority,” I asked, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah, well, they seem like the two that will give me less shit for needing a day off to recover,” he frowned. I sighed and looked at him as we reached the stairs. I have to admit I’ve never seen him look this beaten up. And he’s gotten into a few fights at school.
