Alpha’s Illicit Affairs With My Step Sister

Alpha’s Illicit Affairs With My Step Sister

The bookstore, once a haven of tranquility, had become the epicenter of a chilling mystery, and I was now on a relentless quest for answers. * I sat alone at the bar of the bookstore, the dim light casting long shadows on the shelves of books. I reached for my phone and dialed Clive’s number, needing a ride home. He reassured me that he was on his way. As I waited on the stool, a sudden vision washed over me. I found myself submerged in water, a relentless force pulling me deeper. Panic set in as I struggled against the mysterious figure determined to drown me. I strained to see the person’s face, only catching glimpses of dark hair and striking green doe eyes. Despite the fear, an inexplica

The Lycan King's Fated Mate

The dim, golden light from the chandeliers above created pools of light and shadow, adding to the library’s timeless atmosphere. I searched diligently, combing through the aisles dedicated to ancient mysteries and the occult. The titles were intriguing yet obscure, written in languages I could barely decipher. Just as despair began to settle in, my eyes caught sight of a section labeled "Ancient Mysteries of the Wolf Race." My heart leaped with hope as I approached the section, quickly pulling out a few volumes.

My Mysterious Husband

My Mysterious Husband

Once he finished reading the file, he meticulously went through it again, word by word. After reviewing it thoroughly, Landon confirmed that he had not misread anything. The hotel mentioned in the document also had a detailed address recorded. Landon pressed his temples, and his gaze turned cold as he fixated on the hotel's name on the document. He read it over and over again. It was a hotel name he would never forget. Five years ago, it was something he had tried hard to forget, and now, it exploded in his mind once more. The pulsating heat in his veins, the hazy and heavy memories... It was like thorny vines viciously entangling him, growing tighter with each passing moment.

But it was the message written across the man's bare chest that made Casie's blood run cold. *The Blackwood Heir Returns.* Rick followed her gaze. "Blackwood? Like you? That can't be coincidence." "No," she managed, her voice carefully controlled. "It's not." "You want to tell me what's going on?" Rick's tone was measured, but she could hear the hurt beneath it. "First these ritual killings, then your mysterious contact, now this? What aren't you telling me, Casie?"

Mysteries Next Door

Mysteries Next Door

As I listened to the news anchor's report, I could not help but think there was some truth to the saying that after the storm is when the flowers bloomed. When did I start getting suspicious of Vonn and his crew? Oh, right. It was after I handed over $15,000 to some dude claiming to be Vonn's ex. The more I mulled it over, the more things did not add up. I headed to the police station to share my suspicions. I thought they would laugh me off, but boy, was I in for a surprise. It turned out there had been a string of killings in town, and all the victims were rich, bachelor types living alone.

Soup Shop Mystery

A moment later, a piece of paper slid through the narrow gap beneath my door. The footsteps retreated in haste. I peered through the peephole. The hallway was empty. I didn't touch the note, afraid of smudging fingerprints. Instead, I crouched and read the words on it: I know the truth about Edmund's death. Come to the big banyan tree in Greenfield Residences at 11 p.m. Don't call the police. The note was crafted with meticulous care—letters cut out from newspapers and books, pieced together like a ransom demand, leaving no trace of handwriting.

A Prey For My Enemy

A Prey For My Enemy

Whatever ghost was haunting him belonged to him alone. I moved across the room to the built-in bookshelves. I ran my fingers along the spines, noticing folded corners where a previous reader had stopped mid-page. The titles weren't random; they were classics. I spotted a Dostoevsky novel I had read twice back home. My breath caught, a cold sweat breaking out on my neck. A coincidence, I told myself, shoving it back into place. It has to be. My eyes traveled down to the bottom shelf. A small, hidden drawer was tucked beneath the final row of books, its wood blending seamlessly with the wall paneling. I only noticed the faint seam because the light from the window hit it at a strange angle.

The Clandestine Saga

The Clandestine Saga

But considering the action LIGHTS had taken recently against his kind, he would find a way to accomplish the task at hand. His eyes flickered back to the ancient book in front of him. Handwritten and hand bound, it was older than any volume he’d ever held before. As far as he knew, there were only two others like it in the world. One was with the doctor who’d contacted him somewhere in Eastern Europe, though he didn’t know where. The other was allegedly in the archives the LIGHTS team housed in Kansas City. If they were even aware of the legends it held, he doubted they’d think to access it for something as simple as an Eidolon Festival. Sure, the evening news would remind everyone that the
