People started trickling in, taking seats and whispering. Ofelia floated by in a blush dress, carrying my mom in her arms like the royalty she obviously is. Zach followed with Mochi on a leash. Clay and Xenia wrangled their baby and two dogs, the big one trembling, the small one bossing everyone around. Amaya twirled in her gown, Alan watching her like she’d hung the moon, while their dog Rufio followed her twirl.
