(Katelyn’s POV) They finished playing their little game of musical chairs and then we were off, driving into the night as we tried to escape Harlan yet again. As Ryder drove, Tyler pulled out all the first aid supplies he'd purchased and I couldn't help but frown. "Oooh! Disney Princesses! Nice!" Faye smiled and walked over to a mini-refrigerator posed high on a shelf where the little ones likely wouldn’t be able to reach it, although they might have been able to use their superhuman powers to jump up and access it if they wanted to. There seemed to be a code on that, too. Faye reached in and pulled open what looked like a clear juice box filled with strawberry or cherry flavored juice. She took a few steps over to a microwave and a few seconds later pulled out the beverage. “Bonnie, you want a snack?”

Around my waist rested a utility belt, with rope, extra ammunition, a pocket sized first aid kit, and a bottle of fluid with the label wolfs bane sat on the front. Lewis’s outfit matched mine, except his was black and more like a field cop, whereas mine resembled that of a medieval warrior. “Fuck me…” he swallowed thickly before stepping towards me ever so slightly, in awe. What was wrong with him, was the armor not a good fit. “We should probably go…” he spoke as I finished scooping my hair into a high ponytail and tied my steel capped boots. “…Before I rip those clothes off you, and make you mine, again.” He growled, nothing but teasing and lust present in his tone.

If I had even a minute, maybe I could have made sense of their purposes. But the voices frantically searching for me were closing in, pounding louder against the ground. Wait a second—is that… a utility belt? I froze, blinking at it, raising a brow. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” I muttered under my breath. A sharp and quick laugh bubbled out of me. Not exactly the best timing, but wow, it was either that or cry. I slid the belt through my fingers; the leather felt smooth but sturdy, dotted with little compartments. “Good thing I’m a fan of Batman,” I whispered, snorting quietly.

The Hunter's utility belts were big, sturdy things, meant for hanging weapons on. The gear fit—it was tight but not too tight; obviously it belonged to Cassie, and hugged the curves of her legs and chest. In fact, it made her look as if she had curves, which she lacked. It couldn’t make her look formidable, though—she doubted anything could do that—but at least she looked taller, and her red hair against the black material was extraordinarily bright. A few minutes later she emerged from the alley with Cassie beside her. Jason whistled appreciatively when he saw her.

Lexi handed a packet to Noah and crawled on his knees to where Lucas and Natasha were playing on the carpet. “Key kittens, Papa got new toys for you”. He pulled out two teething binkies for them with an attached tussle for him to put around their necks. The kids quickly latched to it and Lexi sighed in relief. He was actually worried for the pain they were in due to teething process. At least this way they would not feel it bothering much. He kept the spare two in the freezer for later use. “Wow Xan, these are pretty good shirts”. Noah appreciated the shirts Lexi had brought for them. A formal shirt for Noah to wear in the office and a comfy one for Conrad to wear at home.

“Because we’re only going for two nights.” “I need T-Rex for protection.” “T-Rex can’t protect anyone. His arms are short and he’s extinct.” Issa rolled her eyes. “He’s still strong.” “You also think the toaster has feelings.” “That’s different.” “How about one toy each?” Karl rested his elbow on his knee, clearly enjoying the show like someone who had paid for front-row seats. “Not enough,” Issa said. “Criminal,” Max said.

She lightly raised her hand at her. “I want a Rilakkuma stuffed toy please.” She took the ballpen Mavis’ hand to write on it. Lumiere looked at her flatly. “Come on, Fou, you have like hundreds of toys in your room. Austin already gave you a lifetime toys.” She shook her head.

“Yeah, I’m sure.” “You said you would be my toy, but toys break.” “Not me. So daddy, fuck me, please.” A strange look passes over his features as he releases them and unbuckles his pants. And I can’t help the gasp that escapes through my tiny lips.
