Before Bernard could respond, the front door burst open and Tracy's voice filled the house with excitement. "Oh my God, baby! This surprise party is incredible!" Tracy squealed as she rushed through the doorway, her arms full of shopping bags and her face glowing with happiness. "I can't believe you did all this for my birthday! The decorations, the balloons, all our friends here! This is the best birthday surprise ever!" She was practically bouncing with joy as she looked around the room, taking in all the party preparations. But then her eyes landed on me standing in the center of the crowd, and her expression changed completely.

She runs her hand through Kyran’s hair, making him move a little and mumble something. “How long have you been awake?” I ask. “Not long, maybe five minutes.” Suravi answers. I tell her what happened as Torhan walks in, causing Kyran to wake up. He is grumpy, and I can tell he wants to tell us to leave until he realizes it is us. I thought he would lose it when he realized that Suravi was awake after she let out a tired but happy giggle. A giggle slips from my lips as Kyran’s eyes double in size when he sees Suravi smiling at him. He turns, looking at me, when my giggle slips out.
