He walked up right behind me.
His large hands clamped down on my bare waist. He pulled my back completely flush against his solid chest. I gasped quietly, my hands instinctively flying up to cross over my collarbones, trying desperately to hide myself in the tiny black nightgown. I felt sick with vulnerability.
Killian lowered his head. He pressed a hot, deliberate kiss to the side of my neck, right over one of the dark bruises he had left there.
"I brought you a wedding gift, my beautiful wife," Killian murmured softly against my skin, though the microphone picked up every single syllable. "I thought you would be happy. I thought, why not let you talk to your loving father?"
