The Reaping

The Reaping

It’s as if she feels guilty for being able to eat well when I couldn’t. “The first Reaping after I took the job made me see that there was something very wrong happening with the food. I was not quite old enough for the Reaping but I watched along with everyone else. I saw it then. The girls were underweight. Many of them looked like skeletons while others had little meat on their bones. But what was the oddest was the girls who were from the families of the leaders in the village had a very healthy. They all looked as if they ate plenty and some if even looked as if they ate over the amount that a person should.”

Saved by My Alpha

Saved by My Alpha

He resumed, “There was a girl named Kyan. She was an elf but one of her parents were human. Her parents were avid warriors participating in the war. They were also the richest around. They funded a daycare & the daycare often took trips to that tree. This was before the tree’s leaves became red. At that time, they were green & orange. It was a beautiful mix. Kyan was very find of that tree. She was born underneath it & visited it everyday of her life. The tree was also fond of her. She’s go there when her parents argued and such and sometimes, she just went there just because. But the war was brewing intensely; soon enough, the war reached their homes. The enemies locked them up in buildings

This us just a heart warming story and the characters are so easy to fall in love with. I love the child perspective... well more like the teen/adult perspective, makes Kenndi that much more of a interesting character!!! Keep up the good work! I'm definitely hooked and will follow all of ur work!!!

The book was great. However, I don't think the special should've been thrown in this book if this was regarding the war. I was hoping to find out what happened at Elias wedding with his mate coming back & will Kennedi, fall in with Val even though he's centuries old? that will be a good story

she starts cautiously. I suck in a breath and swivel my head to see what she sees, and when I do, I freeze. The tree is the least of what I’ve done… what we’ve done. Because all around us, apart from the one Olivia is resting on, every tree for 5 miles have been reduced to nothing but golden ashes. And in the clearing, Hunter, Ryker and Talon stand in a straight line, staring at us.

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

Setting: The Bone Orchard --- The field stretched endlessly under a starless sky, its earth cracked and pale as old scars. White trees clawed upward in jagged silhouettes, their bark not wood but bone—calcified remnants of the First Brood who defied Vaelros Seraxa. Each tree leaned as if in pain, branches frozen mid-scream, their roots burrowed deep into the soil where ancient blood still seeped. No Elder dared walk here, for the Orchard remembered betrayal. It remembered the Crown That Bleeds.

Alpha's orders

Alpha's orders

Alive. We keep on climbing the trees and the end is in sight just two more and then we made it through the swamp. *Crack* My head turns around instantly when I hear a loud cracking noise. I see Hunter clamming himself against the tree. Shit. No this can't be happening we are almost there. *Crack* The branch beneath Hunter's feet is hanging on by a thread. By the look on his face, I can tell he is scared "Move, move move," Axel says to me moving more towards me. I quickly climb to the next tree and the branches underneath us are cracking loudly.

Eternal Promise: Fragments Of Us

Eternal Promise: Fragments Of Us

I was just as good as dead. I faced the black tree and stared at it for some time. The faint glow it emitted was still waiting for me to collect them. I pressed my blood tainted hand on its trunk before scoffing with sarcasm. I took out my machete that already became a weapon for killing after it absorbed the blood of all those innocent people that I have killed. I pointed the sharp edge at the tree, then I slowly penetrated the tree with it. As I did that with an expressionless face, the tree bled. All I heard was a gushing sound as I buried my machete deeper into it. I didn’t care anymore. If this was the price for what we did, then I might as well use the last of my powers to cheat with o

he shouts. We run through the dense trees, heading back toward the campfire. Alaric slashes through the bushes blocking our path with his claymore, clearing the way for us. I struggle to keep up with his long strides, ignoring the pain all over my body. But as we pass through an area where massive oak trees grow tightly packed, I feel something that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. The stench is very close… right above our heads. I glance up while running. Among the branches of the giant trees, I see unnatural movement. Dark figures crawling along the branches, moving at terrifying speed, following our path.

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

The leaves sparkled cheerily at him, glistening like silver in the soft white light that Xiao Chen thought this must be a tree that came from the Heavens above. Xiao Chen approached the tree, his hand reaching out curiously. His fingers grazed on the hard, jagged surface of the bark and felt the churning ripples of life! Undying and inextinguishable life! "Is this really inside me?! How would I have such a tree in me?! But it looks familiar... as if I had seen it before... But where..." Xiao Chen stopped to ponder. But he could not remember where he saw the tree before. He walked circles around it, wondering, "So... is this tree somehow related to the recent deterioration of my life?"

The Healer's Bond

The Healer's Bond

Steve said grimly, “Sterling Creek will starve. And death will follow.” They pressed on, moving with purpose until they reached a hidden clearing cloaked in shadows. Sunlight barely filtered through the thick canopy above. There, at the center, stood an impossibly ancient tree—wide, towering, and pulsing with unseen energy. Its bark was dark and cracked like burned skin, and its roots twisted deep into the ground like the fingers of a dying god clutching the earth. At the base of the tree was a horrific sight: a pile of skulls, thirteen in total, stacked in a grotesque pyramid. Emma and Steve recognized them at once.

The Luna Games

{Alexus} I had been in the tree for what seemed like hours. The only sounds that I heard were the sounds of insects crawling, the hoots of owls, and a rushing stream about a mile away. I could pick up the sound of someone crying in the distance, but there was no presence of immediate danger. Alexus: I'm hungry. Do you think I can eat now? Elektra: I still think it's a bad idea, but be quick about it.
