I’m a mouse of a woman; 5’0 with short, disheveled sandy brown hair. My eyes are brown, too. Shit brown my brother Timothy always called them. She grabbed the handle and yanked the door open. “Woah woah woah.” “What the hell are you doing Noah?” Ariadne yelled at the young boy. Noah was Robbie’s son and spitting images of him. He was eleven years old and entering the awkward stage in a boy's life, where he was mostly all legs and his voice was starting to crack. Ariadne smiled at him after a few seconds to soften the blow of her yelling at him. “I thought I checked on you. Dad said to make sure you girls had everything you needed.” Noah said to her his hands still up in the air.

Adrian answered on the second ring. Whatever Daniel said in the first ten seconds was enough. Noah sat in the conference room with his hands folded and his bag on the floor and the morning light coming through the window, and he thought about the birth certificate and the blank line and the two years he had carried this particular knowledge alone. He was seven years old. He had managed. He heard Adrian’s voice through the door change near the end. He was on his way.

He made no attempt to correct them. He was a sociopath with an obsession for power and a pattern of marrying teenage girls. He was a culmination of everything bad in one person. The tribe needed a glue. A heart. A Luna. Noah needed to find her. Fast. Because the ball was bouncing. And the box was shrinking.

If there were pictures of Trey when he was younger with his cousins that he's still around with today, meaning he really isn't Noah at all. They are absolutely different people. The album was the clear proof that I was really wrong thinking and hoping that Trey was my late fiancé Noah. Trey grew up in a wealthy family, well-provided, and had cousins with him, while Noah, on the other side grew up in an orphanage, alone, parentless, definitely not rich, and without a family to call his own.
